Re: Indian Wells
He always has the same look when he is behind. Maybe the copter, maybe the low conds...but besides that he is teh same.noleisthebest wrote:Tenez wrote:Koening mentioning the early start as a possible reason for not having Federer hit form.
To me he looks miffed about something.

No, I still think he is miffed, not because he is behind.Tenez wrote:He always has the same look when he is behind. 3bps squandered...this looks like Fedal matches from before 2017.

Yes and that's down to the slow court and high bounce taking a lot off Fed's BH pace.

I have to leave in 20 mins to do some shopping with Mrs. SB. Bad scheduling on my part. I had thought that would give me enough time to see Fed win.

No, Fed’s not even trying to run around the BH there, and he had loads of time.

It was Fed's awful BH that gave him the break back! Borma was too happy to hit a bullet there and over did it.

Judging by that return, looks like Fed’s competitive energy has finally infused him.

Playing conditions really can’t be much worse, can they?
Slow court, high bounce, wind...Sampras in the stand chewing gum like a peasant....

But that can't be.. According to Tenez and a few others... every tournament is Fed's to lose.

you can see that by standing a bit far back like Coric you can retoreve everything.

Re: Indian Wells
Fed sinply can't hit through Coric. The only times he managed to break him was simply by being more consistent and force Coric into attack and UEs.

Re: Indian Wells
I am amazed at Federer's mental strength. He did not have the better game today...part the dead court part his average form and part Coric....yet he keeps cool and win when he was odds to lose!
Amazing performance....in a different style.
