The Ultimate GOAT List

Tue Sep 26, 2017 9:48 am by noleisthebest

http://www.ultimatetennisstatistics.com/goatList

Very interesting, as the table takes in a lot of factors in, not just the numbers of slams.

Eg:

Grand Slam Points
+8 points for each Career Grand Slam
+8 points for each Calendar Year Grand Slam
+4 points each time when holding all 4 Grand Slams
+ (N - 1) * 1 points where N (N > 1) is number of consecutive Grand Slams on the same tournament[size=10]…

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:35 am by noleisthebest

In summer 16 or 15, I saw a young Greek Tsitsipas at Boodles, very nice and elegant SBH.
He was not as explosive and talented like Shapo then, but he has probably leant a thing or two since.

He is 19, 6 ft 4, right-handed.

He's been playing challengers and recently I noticed his name start to appear in qualies of regular atp tournaments.

Well, he's made it to the main draw of Shanghai and will …

Players popularity - What makes it?

Tue Oct 17, 2017 2:02 pm by Tenez

I was watching a few games of the Pete v Roger wimbledon 2001 4th round encounter and it is very surprising to see a 19yo having most of the crowd versus a "great" champion like Pete. It was also a time where SVing was everything and it was difficult to see the extend of Federer's talent on this single occasion. It was all about eye/hand coord and very little separated the 2 grass …

Asian Swing 2017: Bejing/Tokyo & Shanghai

Tue Oct 03, 2017 8:43 am by noleisthebest

Atp 500 tournaments in Beijing and Tokyo this week, Masters 1000 in Shanghai next.

It looks like all uninjured players except Federer are playing this week, Nadal clearly wanting to cement his number one position.

This has been such an extraordinarily strange tennis year, I hope this last quarter does
not end up looking like USO '17...

DRAW SHANGHAI

Who Is Going To Be The Next Number One?

Mon Sep 26, 2016 10:36 am by noleisthebest

Regardless of how long Nole will be able to hold on to his atm untouchable looking position, I think we can discuss the new number one possibly even for next year, but more likely in 2018.

I can't see anyone dominating straight away, so probably a frequent change at the top.

Murray is the fittest and most consistent successor and had a good chance this year with injured Djokovic.

Magnus Norman …

One of the best match ever?

Fri Jun 30, 2017 11:31 pm by Tenez

Not much drama in spite of a 5 setter and I think Fed could have won that one in 4 if not 3 had he not been too tired...but what I find extremely impressive is the pace and clean hitting. I don;t think we can find a match which comes close in terms 2 players playing at their best level, trying to out hit their opponent.

I am open to suggestions but you can see that the 2 players play with …

Jelena Ostapenko

Tue Jul 04, 2017 9:18 am by noleisthebest

it was love on the first sight! love love love

The fearless djevushka.

She keeps going, shot after shot, every one with the full heart. And does not get deterred.

Amazing, captivating, contagious spirit.

There is something regal about her.

Davai, Jelena! MagicBubblytennisball
