Dear me, this is the biggest choke I've ever seen, worthy of Konta.

From a psychological point of view, it was the best thing Cilic could do.
He could return in the match

...or did Cilic try to pull a Djoko trick, all hurt and in pain, and then come and play his best?

It's cheating. Plain and simple.  If he isn't injured then he needs to be defaulted.

Good on Federer for keeping his composure. Marin is his friend, it must have been a difficult moment for Fed too

Don't be ridiculous. The poor guy's clearly nervous as hell, balling his eyes out on CC in front of the whole world, and you think he's trying to cheat?

It looked very weird. My first thought was did he just find out that a close relative passed away?

It's not cheating, he just couldn't cope with the emotions.
He doesn't have the champion's heart.

The trainer isn't there for emotional stress or to aid in difficult times.  He's there for injuries.  It needs to stop. Assuming he isn't injured.

Very reminiscent of what happened to Sabine Lisicki a few years ago - if it is nerves and emotion.

Cilic just ruined this historic final for everyone with those tears, what a pussy.

Now Fed will crush him, and media will talk about how Cilic cried
