Yes it's pretty equal so far, with occasional Fed magic, otherwise just more effort from Berdy on his serve.

In fact: Fed's level has dropped quite a bit...

He isn't a mug - he's dangerous.  Esp to Fed.  Has a good run against him usually.  Fed needs to be careful. Play smart. There is no evidence that something is wrong with his back. You are claiming it without any evidence.

Serve is still top, so no back probs? Or FH shows back probs more?

Glad  someone sees it. He went from total control to spraying FH's all over the place within 1 rally.

This is not good. At 70 % still fav to win but this a different player than against Raonic. I'm very worried

He looks to be moving and serving very well. I see no evidence of a back problem.

Surprising little fist pump there when berdych netted the put away shot.  Don't usually see Fed doing that.  He's got to keep his best up - because we've already seen how close Berdych has gotten.

Indeed. It's not Berdych is playing that good. Thomas did sense Fed's FH broke down and took advantage but he still gives Fed so many free points.

So every DF now must be a back issue? That's what Nadal fans do. There are 100 other reasons for a DF - including nervousness.  I'd say that's more likely.  Plus he's making a lot of drop shots errors.

Lucky for Fed Berd is playing really bad.

And Berdych is not playing bad.

No, I am not kidding.  He's just taken Federer to a tie break and is powering winners.  He's making errors, but he's also making big shots. You're seeing things that aren't there.  You cannot possibly make a connection between a back and a double fault and so on.

Plus, I remind you again.... Berdych has beaten Federer here.  Any player than can beat Federer at wimbledon is dangerous and not crap.

Fed needs second set too, Berdy if he keeps it this way, can handle 5 sets, Fed not!

Just because Federer makes it look easy one day does not mean he can keep doing it.  He's human - and he can get nervous.  That's how he lost v Djok twice - cause it was his to lose in one of those finals especially.

The only danger for Federer is if he gets into a baseline slugfest with Berd. He should use his variety, move Berd around and pick him off at the net. If he does that he wins this at a canter.

Federer is definitely nervous.  It's these type of matches he lost against Djok when it looked like it was going great.  His serving is pretty solid so far though!

Oh god, so now a worried face = back problem / injury?  It can't be nervousness or unhappiness at how he's playing some of the points?    I bet you do Tarot too!

I don't claim to be a mind reader - which is essentially what you're doing by claiming a worried face can be translated as a back injury.   You may be right, but you are v likely just wrong again.

I am watching from a bar as i m in france and i have an italian spectator next to me and he sees it like us GP.
