Particularly looking forward to GB-France, esp with Richie and Simon playing so well.

Apparently, Tomic has been banned from Davis Cup and his dad is threatening to sue Tennis Australia

I really like Rubi, a very fiery and aggressive player, he's got everything to become rubisisthebest !

....except the muscles, as he arrived on the scene where it's impossible to get anywhere without them.

When I talked to him and his coach at Roehampton, his coach kept repeating how Rublev will have a lot more muscle next year, so they will clearly work on his fitness in the off-season...he doesn't need a lot as he has great timing and talent, but is so thin that you can see he has 2-3 years to fill out, as he is not naturally big like Stan or Becker were.

He is not flairful and too creative, but has an amazing drive and aggression in his game, like a gust of wind, very exciting to watch.

For me, the only one of the very young ones worth following.

He did but he's won Wimby and OG.
Ward made r3 of Wimby and Queens sf beating Stan, Querrey, Mannarino. He says it's his best surface.

But he hasn't played well for a long time...since Toronto (or was it Montreal?) last year...

A good chance for him to make up with French crowd after last year injury fiasco in DC final...

It's probably easier for them to play with this 50/50 crowd, less pressure.

Queens has always played quicker than Wimbledon (esp in week 2) in recent years, indeed not the best choice for GB.

Just saw now when he was changing the shoes, the white ones are much grippier...are they allowed?
I suppose he desperately needs those legs to be well planted for his muscling.
I know Nole was not allowed the grippy ones a few years ago.

Just goes to show what kind players we have...the footwork on grass reveals everything!

yes for Murray mouvement is going to be key. For some reasons, Tsonga seems less at ease than Murray. Murray is very heavy and needs a huge grip to be able to change directions.

We saw the light Ward slip so I am surprised not to see Murray or TSinga slip as much.

Probably because he doesn't need to rely on them so much. He moves differently from Murray, lighter on the feet.
Playing well atm.

Seeing Murray yelling and throwing his weight about really makes me appreciate Fed's thrashing him in Wimbledon even more!

It's quite telling to see Tsonga falling with an unsure steps...while Murray seems quite confident on it.

Well...the "slip" worked FOR Murray.

Simon saying to Gasquet...."Murray is faking his groin problem". (Me guessing his words and not really heard it but Gasquet's smile makes me think it was something along the lines.

I saw it too and wanted to ask you what he was saying, but deduced the same anyway...
