In the play-offs we'll get Fognini-Rublev as the second match of the tie in Irkutsk on Hard. Might be interesting.

Re: Davis Cup 2015: The Semi-Final
Being partisan, a GB triumph wouldn't quite captivate me as the semi-finals are essentially a who's who.
To think a team with just one player in the top 100.
Edit: Edmund is currently 99 (though struggled against an over the hill below par Robert at the FO!)

As a big fan of Goffin I hope we get Belgium v GB in the final. Argentina with that team shouldn't be getting near the final with such an average collection of players

Re: Davis Cup 2015: The Semi-Final
I won't be watching any tennis today, but Kokki-Murray coukd be interesting.
Kokki is quite good, he is only 19 and has an amazing lasting power already, good at keeping the ball in, tall - perfect combo for a future top 5-10.
Playing Murray in the best of 5 in Scotland should show us his current limits.

Kokki is real good player. He can be serious challenge to top guys in the next 1-2 years.
Ferrer, Raonic should be out soon. Berdych is on an extended stay.

He has reached his ceiling. Even if he comes back to his best, he will be like another Ferrer. Can beat the ones below him, maybe but the ones above him will take him out with ease.Tenez wrote:I think Rao is going to make a come back. We need him.

Re: Davis Cup 2015: The Semi-Final
lol you never liked him rotla...admit it.
He is already 24 so I agree he should have done better by now but I think he got injured quite a bit to be fair.
However he should progress again in the next 4 to 5 years ...but so will everybody else.

I agree with Rotla that in a year or 2 Kokki should really make a difference.

Looks very slow conds compared to US. They have the same Wimbledon balls but on a slow court. That makes it very hard to get past Murray.

Not sure how noteworthy this is but Nadal has won 2 rubbers this weekend for Spain against Denmark. Both he and Ferrer were in action for Spain.
Interesting that they are playing.

Glad GB is through. They would typically not be very high on my favourite list but the final should be interesting .

Stars have aligned for GB so far, maybe somehow Goffin can make a surprise and beat Murray? He has a very talented and positive game.

Where will it be played? I doubt Goffin will have the nerves and fitness to beat Murray in final.

Well clay is rumoured to be the surface the Belgians might pick.
Watching the doubles I did laugh. One of Andys arm was the size of Jamie's body!

Wasn't that amazing? If Evan were to take Murray route, he'd be better than Murray.legendkillar wrote:Well clay is rumoured to be the surface the Belgians might pick.

You stand them together and the difference was quite remarkable.
Even though Andy has dropped some of the bulk, he is still ripped!
I do hope he'll be the last of the hulks.

What makes you think he bulked down? He may have but that's so difficult to see on TV.

Well he is 5kg down on last year.
He could do with losing a little bit more.

That is huge considering that there was not much fat before.

It was what was reported. It kinda conflicted with ATP stats that had him 3kg less. Which do I trust?
