This match might sort of determine the GOAT-hood.  If Rafa wins and then gets slam #21, he may be too far for Nole to catch, but if Nole wins tomorrow and then in the final too, one would have to give him the edge.

I expect Rafa will win.  They played here many times and Nole only won the year Rafa was playing very poorly.  But, this is the time for Nole to show all that titanium he is made of.  Hats off to him if he wins.

Naxroy this is what Djoko would have done last year in the final had he not been injured.

No different tahn all the match Nadal and Djoko played over 5 sets when Djoko is fit.

Nadal might have 13 FO titles but has never produced the best clay tennis.

I was reading on BBC what a great match it was.  Then I looked at some extended highlights and I did not think it looked all that impressive, perhaps with the exception of parts of the 3rd set.

Beating Rafa at Roland Garros is an amazing task, and he did it twice.

It would have been same result last year had he not been injured. He is simply able to overlast Nadal since 2011. It's dead obvious. It's all down to Djoko form like it has been down to Federer since he adopted that larger frame.

Federer would be the undisputed GOAT had they not slowed down the USO drastically to suit the boring baseliners.

Despite 10+ years of Djokovic's time near the top, and despite Russians having had some good players in the past, I do not think there ever was an all-Orthodox slam final until this year.  And just like that, this year both slams have only had Orthodox finalists.

What do you all think?  How much chance do you give Tsitsipas to win?  I think he has a good chance - I would say around 50/50.  I did not think Djokovic looked as good yesterday as the media have portrayed it, and Tsitsipas is a tough cookie.

But I thought Medvedev was likely to win the AO final, and Nole thrashed him, so what do I know.

It all depends on how fit Djoko is. He has not flared well in FO finals when gruelling semis.
