You are probably right, LK...I do expect a lot from him...Fed is a magician on but not off court.
Ah welL...

I am puzzled with your staunch Nadal fan-like style of "defending"...quite funny and unexpected I must say.Tenez wrote:Just puzzled at your dislike of Federer...but it seems linked to the way he perceive(d) Djokovic.
Fed is a great tennis player but I don't need to worship the guy...I can easily see some of his faults and still like him...

I don't doubt one second that his dark side is as bad as his good side is good....but that's not the point.
He is no chav, nor an idiot and even less a hypocrite (based on your accusation).
You don;t want to hear his thoughts on Djoko's gamesmanship but you think he doesn't say enough when it comes to Nadal's doping, where there he has no proof. That's what I call a typical Nadal fan like approach!

Just because you are not able to see it doesn't mean he isn't.Tenez wrote:

And please don't quote words I never used. It shows you either misunderstood or even worse deliberately twist them.
Again, you are trying to drag the conversation down to fan-war level...I am not interested.Tenez wrote:

I am not here to defend Djokovic and his gamesmanship. His sin (MTOs etc) walk before him.
Just my observations which I have no need to ram down anyone's throat.
And hopefully Federer is not Muhammad.

This is exactly what you are saying. You did not use the word but that's what it comes to. It's pretty clear, isn't it?noleisthebest wrote:Just because you are not able to see it doesn't mean he isn't.

You might not be a fan but you are quite patriotic..which to some extends has something fanish about it.Again, you are trying to drag the conversation down to fan-war level...I am not interested.

regarding my idolising Federer, frankly, I am not sure what could shock me or disgust of teh little I know about the player. If I were to share a house, a hols with him, I am pretty sure there woudl be some matter of irritation....but so far from what he has brought to the game in the last 13 years, frankly, I can only see positives about his persona. He, much more than you, was affected about doping in the game. If he could have done more about it, I am pretty sure he would.
