If Fed can't win the title with this kind of playing field, how can he do better in Masters and also slams with bo5 formats.

Well, that's what we've been trying to say..."this kind of playing field" has caught up, it's not just Federer but others are struggling as well.
Btw, Schwarzy is a very good player, he is only 20!
Also, the clay looks dark and damp, so it's all stacked up against Fed's finely tuned game that does not rely on safe, repetitive ball bludgeoning.

Re: ATP 250: Munich, Estoril, Istanbul
I'm expecting Fed to win this, anyway...but winning of clay has become physically tougher than ever...for all players.
What does it say about how physical the game is when number one player can't play back to back tournaments?
Noke wants to be fresh for RG and going deep in two tournaments would kill his chances.
Fed also hinted he may miss Rome...

And Fed squeezes past...again!
Great match from Schwartzy...30cm shorter than his compatriot Delpo but just as much punch, if not even more...def better serve!

Federer on clay was better as a teenager with no slams than what he is now, if this was in 2002 it would be 6-1 6-3 ish.
Gonna need Dimitrov to be very tired or be serving like Karlovic to win

If Dimi gets there!
I don't think Fed is much on form....though I agree Schartz is under-hyped.

Is tomorrow Murrays first ever clay final?!
That will be his only chance for clay silverware.

Argentine players usually have flair but I don't think Diego is that type of player myself. Hard work without the ability will only get you so farnoleisthebest wrote:And Fed squeezes past...again!

Re: ATP 250: Munich, Estoril, Istanbul
Diego has great hands and even a nice all court game.
Bearing in mind his size and how physical tennis is now, that is almost a muracle, especially on clay.
He is too busy staying in the point, having to cover that extra step of ground to even think of relaxing.
He played really well yesterday, definitely not a grinder, plus "only" 22.
The much lauded Nalbandian retired long ago...

Some good finals today, not bad for a 250 week:
Murray-Kohlschreiber
Gasquet-Kyrguos
Federer-Cuevas

Re: ATP 250: Munich, Estoril, Istanbul
So, Dimi can't even make it to the 250 final...Another player losing to a "nobody".
Yet, Federer keeps ploughing on and getting stick for losing sets along the way...having 6-7 years more tennis in his legs.
I never jumped on Dimi's bandwagon, but have always criticised Rasheed as a very bad choice of coach.
I dare say, he ruined Dimi's career, same as he did with Tsonga.
He shouldn't be coaching talented players...only grinders.

Isn't Fed still #2 in the rankings within the same field?

As winner, Federer took home 80,000 Euros and 250 Emirates ATP Rankings points. Cuevas earned 42,100 Euros and 150 Emirates ATP Rankings points.
=====================
That's cheap. Doubt you woudl get such low prices in golf.
