Nadal vs Gasquet : Nadal. Gasquet last beat him when they were 13. His chance to win is about 0.001% Only divine intervention can have  Gasquet winning it.

Djokovic vs Wawrinka:

I would have been rooting for Wawrinka, but he may not have much chance playing his first GS final against the multi-slammer Nadal. I don't want a sorry GS final like it was at RG-2013.  Wawrinka has had problems with self belief, it won't be easy for him at all.

So Djokovic it is.

I didn't notice that in his QF match against Murray, Wawrinka didn't face a single BP. He is playing well indeed, I'm expecting a tough match.

On the other hand Nadal hasn't been broken till now. Surprising? Yes but he is looking in good form, but the opponents he has been facing till now were never going to touch in anyways. So it looks good for him, but we never know.

Horrible stat there SB:injured: . I thought Gasquet's chances of winning were 0.001%, now its even less. Its almost was walkover with the benefit of some practice.

I know if he wins today, it means Rafa will get a walkover in the final, but I cannot help it:  Go Stan, get him!

wawrinka 6-2 1st set.

Wawrinka looked good in that first set but there is no question Nole was nowhere near his best, and that he will improve as the match goes on.  Already Nole is waking up I feel.  Still, so far pretty good from Wawrinka.

nitb, you around?  How can you prefer Nole to this?  Just breathtaking some of the points Stan played in that last game.

Yes, he did get a warning.

Anyway, he has tidied his game up and is now managing to keep the rallies going.  Stan just can no longer hit through him.

He won that rally but that is not how he wants to play.

I am so glad Nole lost that rally.

Nadal doesn't look as monstrous as he did earlier this week. Watching this I actually think Djoko's chances are bigger than i thought. 
Gasquet plays ok, but he doens't play to win, just to leave a good impression

Sad for wawrinka, he played better. He started to feel fatigued and even his recent injuries began to brother him. He took a MTO in the 4th set. . 5 setters need absolute fitness.

I just hope stan takes it all in positives, even this loss. Twice he ran Djokovic so so close in a slam, he isn't too far to beat him. He just needs to believe it. . I'll want him to be seen in WTF this year.

Nadal-Gasquet wasn't as sorry as I thought before the match. So target achieved for Gasquet, this is what he always aimed for: Not a pathetic loss.

But truly, he never was in contention for the W at all.

Well that certainly adds a bit of credibility to the complotists who think there is something doddgy about having Nole on the opposite side of the draw .....4 years in a row!!!

Edge? Because he wants it more??  So Nadal seemingly doesn't want it as much, right? How is this conclusion drawn?

Nadal looks more in form and has won their last 2 meetings. He was more under pressure at RG for the fact that he was chasing 8 titles and even with that pressure he won. In their last 5 meetings its 4-1 Nadal. 

Djokovic very nearly lost to Wawrinka and wawrinka's injury helped him massively. Nadal isn't injured and he won't tire out as easily either. Nadal had a easy-peesy semis and Djokovic had to fight for every single point.


So how exactly Djokovic has an edge?

And I think this is the first time Nole played his SF match first, must be bacause the final is not on Sunday any more....

Well in 2011 and 2013 they were seeded numbers 1 and 2, so not sure how that's dodgy.
And pre-2011 Djokovic struggled against Nadal in slams... just look at the numbers- Nadal won every slam match they played before 2011.
