Very cool picture of Federer hard at work.. What a terrible looking clay court against an amazing backdrop though!!

I guess the court must be somewhere close to where he lives in Basil? It's a bit strange to see such a glam and worldly public figure against such an isolated and provincial setting.

I know it sounds like pure wishful thinking, but I believe Fed actually can do better this
year than last year at FO, given nadal’s 5^th seeding and if he’s
lucky enough to get a favourable draw.

From the comments entries, impressive that he has a broad and cosmopolitan fan-base writing
in Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and other foreign languages I
cannot identify.

I beleive it's near the lake that he and his family live on... must be an old court..
IF Federer is healthy- he is still the 2nd/3rd best clay courter imo- but you're right- so much depends on draw- this year esp with Nadal lurking in a strange spot.
