Which 8 matches are these? I'm struggling to remember.Tenez wrote:It is bad when compared with Djokovic (3) and Nadal (8} especially if you compare the importance of matches as well.

Looks like I was right (cough cough) again.
Federer: 20/1200 macthes (1.66%) or 1 match every 60
Nadal 8/935 matches (0.85%) or 1 match every 117
Djoko 3/850 matches (0.35%) or 1 match every 283!!!!
I am not surprised retrievers have a much better record at those. It confirms the point I made for years that the mental stress is on the attacker far more than the retriever.
You could see yesterday Federer losing on MP again, by being over aggressive on return. It can pay off or break.
Nonetheless very bad stats from Fed, especially compared to his peers.

This is rubbish and you know it.
Nole saved all 4 of those MPs in USO 10 11 with pure guts.
Change the record, will ya!

Re: Madrid 2019
Nothing will confirm more my point than that USO 2011 SF. Djoko shitting himself every time there was a pressure point...only to go for his shots where he had nothing left to lose.
As this record shows, your man is the ultimate retriever...Why he will never be popular. Look at Tsi...a bit of a cheat from a small country as well but his game will give him support everywhere.
You started it!

Nadal will not win tomorrow should he get there. Tsi has already learnt that by extending the rallies, Nadal becomes the loser. Shame Tsi is tired from having played the most matches in the season so far!

And again, this kid is a tough cookie. It cannot be easy for a SHBH to play Rafa on clay - even if it is in Madrid and even if Rafa is not quite what he used to be - but he is not intimidated at all.summerblues wrote:Tough cookie this Tsitsipas.

Yes has all the making of a future great....and I am not sure I see a weakness on specific surfaces....maybe grass ...old grass but not this one we have nowadays. so nope....a future GS champion potentially.

I am starting to rethink my view that Shapovalov has bigger shots than Tsitsipas. Tsitsipas is hitting big, but he is still playing within himself. I am not sure Shapo could hit this big and still keep it under control. He hits bigger, but he also sprays it way more.

Re: Madrid 2019
Nadal's problem is that he is no longer impenetrable. He may or may not win today, but I do not see how he wins tomorrow. Likewise for Stefanos. If he wins today, he will find out tomorrow that shots that were winners today will be coming back, and eventually he will start making errors.

No when he's playing well points he gets most of his points from forced errors, and controls the rallies.Tenez wrote:nadal gets 90% of his points from his opponents' UEs...so nothing new here.DEC1M7 wrote:Nadal only got that break because of a bit of luck and Tsitsi's level dipping. To beat Nadal, Tsi would have needed to arrive fresher. has played a lot recently....including a tough 3 setter yesterday.
Still he is not out yet.

Re: Madrid 2019
Tsitsi had a bye in the first round and has only dropped 1 set all tournament, moreover as I said yesterday his match was only 2 hours vs Zverev and he played it before Nadal's match. If he's losing this due to fatigue he either needs to quit tennis or find a CVAC chamber pronto.Tenez wrote:To beat Nadal, Tsi would have needed to arrive fresher. has played a lot recently....including a tough 3 setter yesterday.
