Del Potro utilises the BH slice really well. Think it was a few years ago with essentially one working wrist where he sliced Nadal up and Murray and eventually lost to Djokovic at IW IIRC. 

Nowhere near the levels of power of his early years, but I will say he has quite the court IQ where he isn't playing shots constantly that he knows he'll never make like other idiot power hitters out there.

Other way round. Beat Murray and then Djoko but Nadal ate up that slice.

Exactly.  Thing is, he also has 3 other huge weapons... 
1. Forehand.  The most powerful flat forehand in the game.
2. Serve.  Consistent and often deadly.
3. Belief.  Something Generation Never are missing.
