Re: Aus Open Day 8
Very important game for Chung if he wants to have a chance to win this.

Of course he does. He's not going to beat Nadal in a 5 hour match in this shape. Besides, his serve will fold sometime against a rabid NadalTenez wrote:And I don;t think Djoko cares much about Nadal's intensity.

Chung has poor net game.. he is good off both wings from baseline but lacks the all court game...

A young roadrunner won’t be beaten by Fed on tiredness.Tenez wrote:I want them both tired.bogbrush wrote:Really? Not just do it in three?Tenez wrote:C'mon Chung! I want a 5 setter now.
Chung has a lot of weaknesses that Fed would work out.

I think he has Djoko on the ropes. They all end up very tired against Chung.
The first Zverev retired, Medvedev took 1 and 1 in the last 2 sets and the second Zverev took 2 and 0!!!
he is the new lungs buster!

They’ve both messed up break chances these last two games. Chung was bad but Djokos was highlights reel laughs.

We are dealing with a future slam champion. He has the mental strength and he is more than a retriever. He can push on the accelerator when needed.

Especially considering Chung has not played that many matches in the last 2 years and even less than most youngsters versus top players.

Amazing mental strength from Chung. 5 all 0/30 on his serve...pulls 4 winners in a row! Impressive for such a young age.

Chung needs some pop on that first serve. Motion reminds me of Roddick. If only it had the same potency.

He is amazingly strong both physically and mentally. I can see the future slams being disputed between Shapo and Chung.
Zverev can sort it out with Coric, he is not in the same league.

Re: Aus Open Day 8
Well, anyone who thinks that Chung can be taken lightly or for granted is a fool.
That said, and very much on paper at least, the draw has fallen open better for Federer than it has for Nadal in two ways: more higher ranked players have fallen by the way side in Fed's half than Nadal's so far, which has gone largely as seeded, and Nadal therefore faces the higher prospective ranked opponents between him and the final than Federer does.
