For some reason I have no recollection of how Nishi plays on grass.

I read that Shapalov told JJ: "Don't talk to me man!" during the match. I just saw a few points. Shapalov played well, just too aggressive. JJ must have wound him up.

Interesting to see Rosol 2 sets to 1 up against Muller. Whilst that would remove another seed from Rafa's path,  it does give the potential for a Nadal-Rosol match in R4...

If anyone is watching Khashanov v Montero, it's clear that Khacha will struggle v Nadal. the court is so slow he can't get rid of Monetro the retriever.

BTW, I was talking to our line judge (we have one in our club often on CC or court 1) last night and she did not notice the courts were slower but heard most players complaining about it.

Ah....just heard that the courts are now "shaved at 8mm"...whereas last time i heard i was 9mm....small difference but that's probably makes the grass grippier....on top of the slow balls.

this match between konta and vekic is really tight,could go either way

It's absolutely discusting to see Kacha's shots returns easier than if it was clay.

I really think it is as slow as clay at this stage...and will get worse from now.

worth noting that she fell towards the end of the 3rd set but no drama or poor sportsmanship form her

Forget about Khacha stopping Nadal...won't happen...not close. 3 sets...if he gets past Monteiro!!!!. On this courts it's going to be between Nadal and Fed or Djoko. More inclined to go for Djoko actually.

Wel, maybe it's is getting slower every year. I guees this year it's just a little more obvious.

When i watched the first few rallies on monday (after have gotten used to the Halle and Queens pace) i found it dead slow right away. It's a shame because it takes the occasional upset away. You can almost bet your house on Murray-NAdal and Fed-Djoko semis. And under these conditions, Fed is no longer fav to win it from there.
