Frankly a Murray Djoko final, I might ban myself from it!
You know I am not a fan of either....but yes Nole over Murray for me....except for the race to number 1.

Murray has really improved a lot this season, theres such a massive difference since Lendl came on board
I am not sure I would attribute the progress to Lendl yet. Murray was always going to improve at his age. He was close at the last AO before Lendl came into the picture.
We will see how he handles the final tomorrow.

That's a legitimate question, and tough to answer.
I like attacking players and Djoko is overall probably showing more initiative so i can only say Murray is my sentimental pick this time. No logic.
Murray already had a comprehensive amount of very tough losses (i know, his own bad) but i'd like Murray to prove Djoko is not 5 slams better then he is.

It's better striking of the ball in that semi. Far fom a beautiful tennis but at least it's played without those nasty "c'mons" on opponents mistakes, those hhheehhaaa after hitting the ball. And Djoko is trying to attack a bit.

Will let the Valencia champion Granollers or Federer-beater Simon know.

why not? what exactly is Murray better at than Nole? There is a reason he lost all those finals without a single set (except last Wimbledon) He is so over-hyped and pushed by media it's sickening, which is why I can't warm to him (among a lot of other things)

wowowow, i did not say Murray is better (although i rank Murrays imagination and creativity a little higher), i said there's no logic in my pick.
Mind you: the media hype is not reaching Holland, i do not suffer from that
ps: if Ferrer wins tonight i'll be supporting Ferrer big time tomorrow, how logic is that?

I actually would love to see Ferrer beating Murray in Final.
That would a pretty good finale for me.

Ferrer comfortably painting the lines, and he is a counterpuncher. Hilarious.
Stadium to be evacuate 30 minutes prior to the storm's arrival.

Djoko has been unlucky this year with the weather conds. FO and now USO. Was also very windy in that OG semi I read.

Match stopped. Djokovic can perhaps come back and fight back. What a reprieve for Djokovic!

Cheap excuse Tenez. Do you remember Federer-Soderling USO 2009 or Federer-Agassi USO 2004 or 2005? :chin: 40 mph winds in the Federer-Agassi match. This is an outdoor tourney.

Then pull out instead of whining, like the wise Nadal did.

Final on Monday for the fifth year running. Crazy. Nole may be ok with the interruption - he did not look so great out there.

Re: US OPEN 2012 MEN'S SEMI-FINAL
NITB... Djokovic played USO 2011 final on a Monday after a rest, which otherwise was not there for him. If the weather is steady with less wind, Djokovic has a better chance of beating a Ferrer. Look at the bigger picture.
I, repeat, I, am not desparate for any specific player to win, unlike you.

Nobody looked good on Ashe today, That's the travesty and mess of USO organisers. they forced the players to play in unplayable conditions. They may have as well tossed a coin for a winner...

Do I need to convince you? I explained why Djokovic has better chance on Sunday then now, but you seem to be hung up on not being able to see the match today. You forget USO 2011. Logic is a much better tool than emotion.

Because nobody in the current 4 in the SFs (except perhaps Ferrer) knows how to play in such conditions, IMVHO.

So is the match not going to be completed today?
Ok I just read the final is on Monday...Federer would have had a chance with a days break between the semi final and final

Federer had the first semi final at Wimbledon and he won,why do you say Murray hasnt won cause he plays the first semi final?

Re: US OPEN 2012 MEN'S SEMI-FINAL
That is not what I meant. Nole looked specifically poor compared to Ferrer, after adjusting for the impact of conditions. Ferrer was actually playing quite well (and was even significantly more aggressive than Nole). In any event, I will be surprised if Ferrer maintains the momentum tomorrow. It would not shock me if he lost even the first set.noleisthebest wrote:Nobody looked good on Ashe today
PS. Must be organizers stopping the match to give the struggling favorite a better chance to make the final
