Interesting comparison...
I think he has a better attitude than Roddick, his mouth his big but not bad, there is nothing nasty about him...I can't imagine Kyrg bully lower ranked opponents like Roddick used to.

Also, I think Kyrg's weapons are slightly bigger than Roddick's. I see him as a more talented, rounded player.

Order of play already out for tomorrow.

Nadal has the early slot, Nishi the last one...
If Dimi doesn't sort himself out, Nadal is going to obliterate him in that hot midday sun.

Can't see Nadal being pushed by Dimi, with Nishikori you always feel he can hurt Nadal if he plays his best unlike Fed who just looks dazed when he plays on clay the last 2 years.

I hope Isner will put a halt to Berdych's fine season so far he is playing at a decent level!

I hope Dimitrov is up for a surprise, but am afraid that won't happen. Nadal is looking physically strong again. Nishikori not too impressive vs. Goffin yesterday, might lose vs. Raonic/Murray. Tournament success is in grave danger.

Goffin can be a hard test these days leaf he improved greatly for 6 months to be #20 in the rankings, he will be top 10 1 day!

Has there ever been a player/athlete that brought so much pleasure to (tennis) fans by simply losing?

I used to follow lots of sports but seeing Nadal get beaten is in a league of its own.

Nothing comes close to it.
It's special.

For me it's the violent, bullying and cheating nature of his game, total destruction of good  esp when he plays Federer.
I can almost feel the pain when I'm watching it (which is why I so rarely do...)

If you tried to script it, you couldn't have such a "perfect" match-up...

Nadal has a unique place/scar in the heart if every tennis fan. Winking

Completely right! This scheduling is the worst on the tour. The ATP should intervene!

Too risky. It doesn;t pay off on the worst clay court on the tour. Madrid being in altitude makes the bounce worse than ever.
