Re: WORLD TOUR FINALS 2012, London
He also ups his game in TB. He makes more effort on teh important point. That was particularly obvious when recovering the bp of the TB at 2/3 down I believe.

Not really. Murray's one dimensional energy non-efficient game has a short expiry time.

Also his bulked-up physique is only going to show its downside against the very fastest and best-moving players like Nole and Fed.

I knew Murray'd run out of steam after one set. He just isn't built to bash the entire match.

Exactly..Murray looks like he is completely control one minute and then a few seconds later Federer has completely out foxed him

This physique brought him his first slam..
How i see it: this is typical Murray limping on two different thoughts. His coach pushes him to play more aggressive but it's hard for him to commit to that on a night like this because this match tells him something different. The story of his life: mixed emotions..

This is exactly what the commentators on Sky say.

The wind did in my opinion.
The game he is playing is just very artificial, that's the problem. He is building it around hard-hitting with no after-thought and zero finesse. So when he runs out of steam there's nothing to fall back on, his timing goes and with it this fragile self-belief.
He believes more in his fitness (which is deceptive) than forming a weapon and building his game around it.

He is still the best in the world. Djoko needs 3 sets and lots of running to beat Murray.

You're so loyal to your man, too loyal imo, sorry
Murray should have won in Shanghai and could have won this week, he's hardly the underdog against Djoko

It's looks like the crowd is still very much split between Murray and Fed.

Re: WORLD TOUR FINALS 2012, London
gp, thanks for your notes, but don't give my questions another thought. I think I figured every thing all out myself.
Yesterday was merely a practice session. Like I said, Roger knew he has a bigger fish to fry today, and the biggest fish tomorrow.
Everybody, drinks on me tonight.
PS noley, I can't believe he did better than your prediction.

I don't mind at all, just got the measure of Murray on Wednesday, so not surprised, Fed played well, I knew he wanted to set things straight, and at the end of the day when motivated properly, the better player always wins

What a glorious match-up worthy of the final tomorrow. Can't have asked for more, both players in similar form and just as hungry as each other.
It's gong to be one fantastic match and I predict Nole to win in 3 sets

Hope Fed can play well tomorrow. Djoko returns better than Murray but his BH is hurting less. Djoko's FH is not hurting as much but like Nadal's, it forces his opponent into some running. This is what makes djoko win all those 3 setters and 5 stters.

This went so much better than I expected. Fed's BH held up quite well today and Murray played quite below par. All in all, it was enough for a comfy victory - but in the opposite direction than I expected.
Now I am even more annoyed that the final is on Monday.

Nole won't wither and give up like Murray. He'll put up a first class fight to the end. It will be a real battle of wills. Tennis at its best.
Fed's pacy arsenal vs Nole's defending & aggressive grit.
