I wonder if his incredibly easy draw has caught up with Roger a bit here? He choked at the end of the second set and he hasn’t been able to live with Cilic when he’s turned up the heat. Frankly, he’s been hanging on and hoping for Cilic’s level to dip.

Agree LK. Fed needs more variety from his perspective though - he’s just been content to trade with Cilic from the baseline and his game isn’t about that anymore.

Dodgy drop shot. He is clinging on with will power and fumes. Still feels more on Cilic’s racquet than Fed’s; but Fed’s experience and greater technical quality helps a little.

After that first set Cilic played to save face and not to actually win the match. That's why he got so dangerous. I don't think he choked because winning it was never in his head.. Maybe a little when the fifth started.
