World Tour Finals 2017

Was at the finals, plan to see Fed gone wrong lol. The match was a lot better than I was expecting, I'd heard about Goffin being good but hadn't seen much of him play. In this match he really was the shot maker with Dimitrov retrieving a lot from side to side. Goffin would have to string together several hard shots at the lines to win points and I was hoping he could pull it off in the end because apart from a few good shots, I mostly just saw retrieving from Dimitrov.

The crowd behaved like dickheads at times, calling out on Goffin's serve amongst other things. Support was like 75-25 at least in Dimitrov's favour which I couldn't really understand as they are both nobodies but meh overall pretty enjoyable.

This is extremely poor state of tennis. Guys incapabe of even a ATP500, struggle to win even ATP250 are winning Masters/WTF. Sock?? Dimi???

This is exactly how Dimitrov could have won  big tournaments and so he did. His Cincy title also came following exactly the same path.

Hope that someone takes out guys seeded above him and he will be left to collect the pieces. There is no way he could have won anything like a masters or WTF if he had to beat guys ranked above him. Coz they are not not ranked above him, they are way better than him. 

Even with these titles, he is not going to be a slam contender. He can  only be a surprise winner.

Good on you bit. I wanted Goffin to win too. S sadly he is the only who could have beaten Federer as only him as the pace in his shots to expose Federer mouvement.

On another matter I find it funny how Fed dismisses the Nike tax question in his Interview.

Goffin, Dimi... they are lightweights.  They *may* with the right draw... end up winning a slam.  But the future is Kyrgios, Zverev, and Shapovalov - perhaps Thiem too on clay/slow court.  Dimi and Goffin are the flag bearers of Generation Never.
