Re: Women's final RG
marion bartolli looks like she has put on quite a lot of weight
interesting comments from navratilova saying that when she played her first RG tournament,RG and AO didnt matter as much as wimbledon and the us open

Wonderful young winner, turned 20 in the semifinal, probably first ever u seeded champion!
I think she was ranked 47 before the tournament.
Wimbledon, look out!!!
A star is born, and what a lovely one!
Bravo Jelena!

Great that Bartoli is interviewing her, she is her heiress in so many ways: charming, fearless and fair.
Beautiful smile!

Re: Women's final RG
that was mighty impressive
for an unseeded 20 year old showed no fear and incredible to come back from a set almost a double break down against an experienced grand slam finalist
pretty remarkable
halep really blew it,she pretty much had the match wrapped up at 3-0 in the second set but allowed jelena back in with her weak 1st serve

Re: Women's final RG
shes really likeable too
imagine how good shes gonna be once she starts making less inforced errors
halep exposed a few weaknesses in her game but nothing that couldnt be improved

And what's womderful about Jelena is that everything is breezy, sunny and happy about her.
No drama, no going over the top.
Just a big smile, big win, good game of tennis and one beautiful day.
No tears, no screams.
One super champion!

That's the way to play, she played like that all tournament, that's the only way to play and it's the toughest way to play.
When you win like that, there's nothing better!

Re: Women's final RG
Donald Trump happened
Seriously american tennis is dead, don't know what happened with it, parents send kids to tennis there a lot more then in Europe, at least what I've seen from half a semester there as exchange student.
Just checked US player rankings: 15 Sock, 22 Isner, 26 Johnson, 42 Harrison, 51 Young, embarrassing.

Re: Women's final RG
you trying to wind the trumpet supporters up here jahu??
careful some of them are really sensitive and cant handle any trump criticism..
yeah the states isnt producing many grand slam singles winners anymore, better to go to spain instead it seems
harrison just winning the doubles, has mens doubles always been best of 3 sets?
that doesnt seem right
where did you go to as an exchange student jahu?

ive never lived there but i loved everywhere where i visited
the doubles final was rubbish, dull and boring much like most of the tournament this year

Re: Women's final RG
Good analogy, yeah Essex style, full of chavs, fake boobs and ex-corrupted cops.
Yeah tourist style it's good, could go every year for 2 weeks and visit always something different.
Let's hope Stan can save us all!!!
