If Dimi survivies this first emotional post 4th huge TB win service game, you'll see how nervous Nadal will be on his serve.

Can't you tell the difference in his shots?
Dimi's gone down as well, but he is younger.

I am quite impressed by Grigor's mind so far. I certainly did not expect it.

I must say Nadal tires quite a bit under the 25s rule.
That's quite open I think in that 5th set....but regardless it increases Federer's chances !
I love it when i'm right, but then again, it happens so often. It's getting boring
Now don't you come back at me when still Rafa wins!!

nadal never should have won that game. No chance. Dimi played really well and then blew it on the biggest point.

How come Nadal never cramps during a game? or does he just pull a fake time out whenever he feels it coming?

Nadal getting away with v shaky starts - and mainly because Dimitrov is making unforced errors more again.

Yes, he is still running...yet you can't see he is a doper.Daniel wrote:NITB... bluffing? He's still running like a gazelle.

The signs of exhaustion will show in his serve, not running.

Nadal has been insanely lucky to be serving for this match. Everything went right for him the last game - but Grigor bottled that service game, it has to be said.

No, he hasn't. He's missing that extra bit that makes you a champion.

The belief to pull the shots at the right moments when the game is on the line. Tour is full of mental midgets.

I was right after all. It was much closer than Bogbrush and others thought, but I thought this was Dimi's time to step up to the plate and he couldn't do it. On pressure points he failed.
He had this match in the bag last game.

Pathetic. Grigor bottled it and threw it away.
Odds on Nadal coming out against Federer looking like a 21 year old?
Just look at the pillock. He's celebrating like he's won the final!

However, Dimi has done Fed a solid and ran Nadal into the ground. Trying to get that 5 hour marathon out his legs by Sunday will be a miracle.

Forget his celebrations. This is destiny.
Federer to go out and obliterate Nadal in what looks like their last GS Final outing in their rivalry.

Unfortunatly, that's not true. He'll be perfectly able to do this again on sunday. No problem.

Yeah, but how many times have we said this? The only thing that's changed is Nadal is 30. That's a good sign, but this match wasn't. And Fed is 35. And I seriously can't say I have any confidence that Federer will come out playing like he has all tournament. He'll likely come out like the already-beaten guy we saw three times against Djok and multiple times against Nadal.
It usually always includes poor 1st serve % and unforced errors.
Dimitrov lost this simply because he bottled some big chances. Nadal was there for the taking in that final set - but I knew deep down he was going to somehow blow it. And then you called the choke... When you can call a choke as accurately as that, you're dealing with a B rate player - not an A rate player.

It was another great match. Dimi will get better and better. Was quite impressive today. Coudl have been a bit more clinical on some key points.

Re: Oz open prediction game - Day 12!
I want to cry for Dimi but I can't.
Just like him, the heart is spent, I gave it all.
Nadal dodn't win this match, he stole it by being allowed to take tome between points.
He played very well, though.
So, no credit to where no credit is due.
A huge bravo for Dimi.
Tennis has got a beautiful new star!
Roger had better win that final on Sunday.
He owes it to Grigor.

Sorry, but he won't. He's not good enough in pressure moments. His serve is too inconsistent as well. How many double faults in BIG moments? I counted 4. He's a bottler. May win a Slam. May even win two... but I wouldn't put my money on either.

We'll see. I'd be the first to be astonished if Nadal does a Murray-esq WTF 16 recovery.
