Matchups you want to avoid!
Been browsing the youtube for matches whilst I have been ill and there are some that I think made me more ill.
1) Murray vs Ferrer - My god please stop!
2) Anything with ferrer, granollers, monaco, matosevic, anderson, seppi, berlocq etc
3) From 2012 aus onwards Murray vs djokovic.
4) Berdych vs any other big hitter.
5) Nadal vs most spaniards
Over to you, what is your top 5?

Re: Matchups you want to avoid!
I can see why you've put numbers 1-3, number 5 is always quite amusing for me... but why number 4?

I love watching Berdych, incredible force he can generate on his FH.

I've seen a lot of bird's matches vs big hitters, i.e. cilic, anderson & soderling (RG sf was woeful) and all have been bores. I don;'t mind bird vs delpo cos i like delpo a lot but even then it can be a bit dull.

Re: Matchups you want to avoid!
Players I can't stand watching are very tall gutless base-liners such as Raonic, Isner, Anderson, Cilic etc.
Basically, talentless "learnt", bland tennis characters.
Then come the next middle group of equally vacuous and dull players such as Monaco, most Spaniards led by Granollers.
Then there is a group of hard-hitting bashers such as Bellucci, Nadal, Verdasco, Troicki, Tipsarevic, Ferrer, Murray while he lasts etc. All doped.
I am very worried about young crop that is turning into base-line hybrids, eg Dimitrov.
We are left with all single-backhanders (Youzhny, Gasquet, Kholschreiber etc) that are always interesting to watch, but not that great to support as some of them are just a bit dense such as Almagro.
Thank God for the French as they are all very interesting and elegant players, different and unique compared to the rest, you could add Gulbis here as well. Stan has been very good this year, too.
Finally, there is Fed, who is just miles above everyone else and in a league of his own. He is so good, I could watch him play against a ball machine and wouldn't be bored for a second...

I forgot to add the group of "magicians" and tennis bohemians I am so grateful for: Dolgopolov, Dustin Brown, Mannarino, Paire even Dan Evans and what I saw of him during USO.
OK, throw in Fognini when he's in the mood for some drama

Re: Matchups you want to avoid!
Nothing I feel is worse than watching Simon vs Monfils . Its like when a rally starts, you can get a coffee, open your mails, send a few replies, have a look at your cell phone etc.. and you won't even miss a single point of the match.
Most of the point will just end in a UE , but not the usual kind. The kind where the player wasn't attempting to hit a finishing point, but errors in just trying to keep the ball in play. Ahh..

Re: Matchups you want to avoid!
Is this in regards to all their matches or just their aus match?
