Stuttgart to become a grass tournament in 2015
From the ATP site, some good news:

It seems it should remain an ATP 250. It would be great if Madrid could follow up so that we get a grass master

Yes that is very good news as it extends the grass season by a week.
I never thought of Madrid going green (it's been an hard indoor, red clay, blue clay so far), but why not?
There are already plenty of clay masters 1000, MC could return to become compulsory, and if they are really desperate to have more clay tournaments, they could return Hamburg the status it used to have.
It's about time someone had a proper look at the calendar as a few minor tweaks could make a big, positive difference, and having an extra week of grass prep for Wimbledon is a step in the right direction.
I wonder whose idea it was.
With Drewett being ill and having to withdraw from running ATP, tennis is now at its crossroads, so let's all hope the right man takes over from him, otherwise.....
Ivan Ljubicic?

Madrid grass? It would be a wheat court. Just before the FO?
I think Hamburg should regain its TMS 1000. It was a very prestigious tournament, covered courts...and turned into grass they coudl fit perfectly before Wimbledon if we added a bit of space between FO and Wimbledon.

Perhaps Federer may contemplate running ATP in the future.
