Re: 2022 - Roland Garros
That was some serious demolishing of Djocovid
OMG how good that felt, to crush the covid-spreading tax-avoiding mind-water-cleaning fake-patriot from Monaco.
Djoko should quit tennis now, go slap his dumb father who few years ago said why is Fed playing at 34, when his son is playing at 35 getting beaten by a 36y player, and go retire to Serbistan, or even better to shithole Russia.

Re: 2022 - Roland Garros
Yes good win though I would have preferred Djoko to win. You could tell Djoko was the better player but clearly did not have the usual fitness. Whereas Nadal...as fit as ever.
What I like about that match is that Nadal was playing close to the line. Knowing there was no way he could stand 5m behind the baseline defend and win...what he did during his most susccessful years...and that shows that Nadal had simply to improve his game to keep winning...contrary to those fools who think the most successful years are due to players peak.
That's another thing you have learnt from this forum and that you won't read elswhere.

Rudd won't beat Nadal at RG if Nadal was 45 years old. No chance today, I'll be surprised if he takes a set.Jahu wrote:Ruud in 4 today.
Rudd has accumulated points playing tons of tournaments and this RG, the draw opened up on his half.

Every time I think this might be Nadal's last slam. He comes and wins 1 more. He is definitely the most motivated tennis player ever.
Without Fed and Fed's game biases, Nadal appears an amazing player. Zverev played as good as he could have, but Nadal dodged that bullet as well.
He may sit alongside Margret Court's 24.

Re: 2022 - Roland Garros
It'll be more fun when it comes out that's he's a doper. But the french open must be the most boring slam of them all with the level of competition basically being Nadal and Djok. Alcaraz is the only player the last 10 years apart from Fed to have any hope at all there. It's a hopelessly weak field - and people like Zverev don't help it.
Luckily, we're almost at an end of the Nadal clay era - and within 5 years he'll just be a page in history and we can go back to enjoying actual tennis.
The future will judge this era of tennis more harshly than I do - as pathetic and weak. All the slow courts will be mentioned time and again as well. I'm going to be happy seeing the end of Nadal the Narc and the day is coming closer and closer.

Very gracious post; let's see how long he can keep playing for.
I'm also hoping that Federer returns to competitiveness at some point soon

Re: 2022 - Roland Garros
I think Nadal is done on GS, he will want to keep his foot alive for walking the rest of his life.
As he answered to the question after the match to how many injections he got in his foot, he answered It's better you don't know, so he cant keep playing with a foot full of anaesthetics for much longer.
