Edmund through in straights. Credit to him and Escobedo. Both crunching their shots! Impressive.

Nole got a walkover from Vesely!

You're right!
But then, I am not surprised with all these injuries. Players are killing themselves in the gym now.
Also, you never know when these withdrawals are silent bans.

Exactly. Players are killing their immune systems with trying to be the perfect athlete. Mother Nature can only do so much!
Speaking to a work colleague who is a triathlete about doping in sports and he said about technology doping in cycling where cyclists are hiding motors in their bikes! Quite an amusing insight he offered.

You mean real motors that push the bike instead of them?

I don't understand those cyclists...they must be the biggest egomaniacs that walk the earth...
Even in my spinning class, some take themselves so seriously it's comical - leg shaving, head shaving, lycra...not to mention the attitude and the posing.
Amazing what goes on in people's minds!

Yup. Apparently it's hidden in the frame and water bottle! A cyclist was banned for it. Read her excuse!

Re: US open prediction game - day 3
I saw a few games on and off:
Harrison-Raonic, don't know who is more pathetic. So little skill...robots!
That's why I like players like Simon...pure guile...the guy engages his brain!
Paire-Baghdatis...now Paire really did play like a mug this time! Stubborn and undisciplined, so disapponted.
Baghdatis tried to upset his serve by going to get a new racquet and taking ages.
Always a cheap crook...

This youtube home page I have sends me all those good clips. I just want to watch a few points then I get mesmerised by Fed talent and how Djoko brings all those balls back even those which got passed him.
It's crazy what Fed has got to do to win a point.

I am mesmerised, too.
I saw a few minutes of the clip...amazing shots....what else can I say.
The guy is a dream.
I wish I could play like him for one day. I think my poor brain would explode with joy and adrenaline.

I was really surprised to see that despite raonic being injured the odds were 2.1 for Ryan to win to I put £100 on it (from my winnings of past).

What an idiot this harrisson. he coudl have asked about Raonic's problem at the handshake. No he was just happy with the win and coudl not care less about his opponent's problem.

Re: US open prediction game - day 3
The draw has certainly opened up in the top section. Surely the stars point to a Djokovic/Nadal semi.
Be interesting to see how the bottom half develops. Thiem with a real opportunity to advance. Potential Del Potro/Fognini 4th round clash! Murray looking like his section is about to get serious. Simon/Dimitrov/Lopez lurking. Nishikori has a peach to the QF's, though he is the only player who could fudge that up. Wawrinka/Kyrgios QF would be a must see. Let's see if his mouth gets in the way this time.

Well done!
I tried to place a bet yesterday, bet but bet365 wouldn't let me do it because I'm outside UK atm.
Had to ring some number and didn't fancy wasting time and money listening to automated call centre....

Nadal looks fit but beatable. Will be tough, though.
No problem for a healthy Nole.
Murray is very motivated to grab number one. It is now or never for him as Nole is not 100%.
If Simon or Dimi are healthy they can beat him.
Very happy for Pouille, would like to see him take on Nadal.
He is a nice, balanced, brave player in no hurry and that is promising.
Credit to his coach for keeping him out of limelight.

Yes not allowed in France. I got frustrated with it.....but then I like the fact France did not give in to the betting lobbies.
