Re: Roland Garros Game - first round!
Shame the weather is so bad in Paris, second day with virtually no play.
Feels strange as I had a week of 25-31 degrees in Belgrade and it's a beautifull sunny day back in England, too.
Hopefully it won't disturb the tournament too much especially as RG is still the only remaining as organic as it can get a slam - natural surface, no artificial light, no hawkeye, no TB in the 5th set, no roof.

Well I've finally got my Eurosport subscription and am all set for RG.
The annoying thing is there are about 20 matches going on atm, but it doesn't show court number.
I saw some scores: Dimi is out!
Is this the rock bottom?

the ball striking difference between Murray and Step is huge. Step is so much more talented. But fit Murray will wear him down.

Re: Roland Garros Game - first round!
Why is Murray yelling so much?
Surely Stepanek cannot be intimidated by it.
Step should give his best and try to close the match, but it will be hard as Murray, too knowing there won't be the 5th set this evening is hammering the ball like there's not tomorrow.

Kneedull is still the best mover on clay when his wheels are oiled.
Who was he playing, Groth?
Waste of space on clay, was it an Australian WC?

Williams sisters have destroyed women's tennis more than Nadal did men's.Tenez wrote:Yes, you would think slim woudl have been better for her while at teh top.....not in modern tennis!
I blame them for Henin early retirement, depriving us of best ever woman player shine for several more years.
Nadal was not able to squeeze Federer from the scene the same way.
I feel sorry for women competing now. We are not meant or built to muscle the ball.
From that point of view, it's a miracle Radwanska is in top 5.

Re: Roland Garros Game - first round!
So many matches going on atm!
Had a quick look at all...Fognini two sets down vs Granollers , Gulbis doing well against Seppi...
Ferrer schooling someone...
Laura Robson hitting the ball really well, nice natural player - such a contrast to athletic Petkovic, who I also like for her spirit.
Konta and Georges looking like clones in same dresses, hair colour/style and build...
S. Robert aka Lucky Loser 2 :1 playing his usual heroic tennis vs Anderson.
Tsonga wearing a zebra outfit.
The rest is a blur...
Weather gloomy.

And Robert knocks Anderson out...local hero in his mid 30s...I'll always remember him as a Lucky Loser.
I hope I picked him to win in that prediction game, hehe.
Will Anderson be remembered as a man who could have but didn't beat Nole in Wimbledon from two sets up?

I blame them for Henin early retirement, depriving us of best ever woman player shine for several more years.
Nadal was not able to squeeze Federer from the scene the same way.
I feel sorry for women competing now. We are not meant or built to muscle the ball.
From that point of view, it's a miracle Radwanska is in top 5.
Yes....and glad Miskina won her slam and retired too.

I hope I picked him to win in that prediction game, hehe.
Will Anderson be remembered as a man who could have but didn't beat Nole in Wimbledon from two sets up?
He is also the man who ousted Murray of teh USO last year.
Anderson will come back...he is just injured still it seems.

I hope so, too good a player not to make some good results. To me, he is better than Raonic.

I don't know much about Miskina, had a look at some clips as you like her, but not my kind of player.
