Rasheed To Coach Nick Kyrgios? Empty Rasheed To Coach Nick Kyrgios?

Not the hottest kind of news, still intersting.

Rasheed:

"If a player with a high skill set is willing to commit and wants to be a main player in the game,my coaching process delivers. It gets results. It's a no-brainer.
So you've got to be willing to buy into that, buy into actually wanting to be a great player.
You can't beat the game. If you want to be at the top of the tree, if you make noises to suggest that you want to be the best player in the world, then there's a process. If you're not making those noises, then I don't think we should be critical about certain things that go on with certain players, because they're not saying they want to be the best player in the world. They're happy to be on the tennis tour.
Obviously Nick's a different character. He's flamboyant, and you're never going to take away the natural flair of the athlete. But it's about how you can actually bring that and mould that into a product that can legitimately, week in, week out be a force on the world stage.
Monfils, for example, was No.38 and going nowhere much when he made the call for help. He wanted someone to take control, allow him just to play tennis - and finished the next four years among the top 16, peaking at No.7 in 2011.
I never took the heart and soul out of Gael; I just showed him a different way to play tennis, a different way to prepare, the professionalism, more elite behaviour activism, and he committed to that. All I said to him is 'I'm going to get you where you're going to play big matches more often and that's where your natural flair and character will come out, but it will come out in a more productive way and be more beneficial to you, and you'll actually enjoy your tennis."

I know Kyrgios is not in many tennis fans' good books any more...let's be honest he is a bit of an idiot.
But an idiot who can hit a big serve and FH.

What do you think?

I didn't realis Rasheed had coachd Momfils, too.

I don't think he should call himself a coach - he is a glorofied fitness trainer.

He ruins players.

Problem is that a tennis player game simply tells more than his words. And Kyrgios is an idiot and of course his game is going to show that.

He could change, become wiser....but I simply doubt it. He might be a winning idiot...but chances are he will remain an idiot.
