Awful is not the word for it. The worst ceremony I have ever watched, what a time waste. After such a brilliant games this anti-climax.

I know Sad

good OUR show goes on all year round, bring on Cincy Cheers

still, the ball I caught in Wimbledon is on my desk and lovely memories in my heart, been funny Olympics these, I've tried so hard not to get sucked in, yet managed to have some deep and lovely memories watching again the nice side of life and people giving their all, sweat and tears, pushing themselves against themselves. Just awesome.

Youre right NITB
Arent we lucky that we have tennis to look forward to for most of the year, those poor olympians only have their "grand slam" once every 4 years..we have 4 every year!
Still suffering from withdrawal symptoms though Sad

Im really going to miss singing our national anthem so often, but I guess if theres any consolation its that we can always get into the spirit of the Spanish Federation by singing along to their ethos

Unfortunately I couldnt get him to take a pic of me wearing his bronze medal.... Wah but he did have it with him so I could see it from a distance Laugh

Nah I didnt bug him with that...everyone was just thrilled to meet an olympian, plus he was being bombarded with people who wanted to have their picture taken with him
I doubt he would have known much anyway just by looking at him

I dunno, gymnastics (women) has changed so much I stopped following it long ago.
Veejay, what sort of things do you look for when you want to see if someone's doped?
Is it physically visible if someone is using EPO?

Yeah you would see signs of it,its very hard to explain in words..its the shape your muscles takes, its all very subtle and slight differences.EPO is a lot like Clenbuterol,in terms of the visual look of your muscles
This Max guy looks like he has never even seen a gym in his life before..but when he started doing somersaults it was pretty impressive
He doesnt look anything like those roided-up gymnasts who do the rings etc
He was part of the team who won bronze

My niece (from Spain) came to London 2 month ago and started to work for a bar called the Tabernacle. 2 weeks ago she was doing a shift there where all the British Olympian medallist met to celebrate. There were over 50 of them. She took some pictures....but guess what I coudl not recognise any of them,....cause I don;t them..bar Murray I guess.

If Max didnt wear his team GB track suit and bronze medal I would have easily mistaken him for someone who was looking to join the gym and was waiting for an induction!
The only team Gb medalist I would recognise would be Mo Farrah,so Im will you Tenez
