Nadal is looking pretty good.  Berdych is quite poor but Nadal looked very solid on those few points that Berdych played well.

Don’t know bow Berd lost the first two sets qconvincingly, playing ok atm, back from 15:40 to win keep serve for 3:3 in the third.

And Berd, with a mini break in the TB stays true to himself and goes away raging into the night as the shot clock seems to stop working on Nadal two last serves, previously Nadal disrupts Berd’s serving rhythm by delaying him....but come on, Berd, you should be better than all that.
And that moment of brain freeze to go for an unneccessary dropshot when up in the game as well as point....well...some things never change.
Nadal played well enough but far from what I’d call ominous.

Kerber slaughtered too, Collins played crazy.

Won’t be nerves. Will be frustration on how that 1st set ended. Federer was unmoved by the shout. Pure experience to play until umpire says otherwise.

Been a great match so far.

This match is like a different sport from most of the rest. It’s being played at such pace and variety. Who couldn’t want to see more of this than the baseline attrition?

It’s enjoyable as it’s both players playing freely and without pressure or fear of losing. Need more matches like it.

Attrition is another natural facet of tennis/life. Nothing more. I don’t mind it in the right measure.

No desire from these players to lengthen rallies. They see the spot and go for it.

FH needed to be further up the line there Tsitsipas. Not the right ball to come behind on. Missed chance for Fed on the BP.

Tsitsipas that was a good hold. Federer you feel missed a trick on that 1st BP. Federer invested a lot in that return game.

Federer another love hold. Puts the pressure right back on Tsitsipas

Superb recovery in that service game by Tsitsipas. Most players would’ve gone into their shells at 0-30 down!
