Making of a champion!
Just browsing on the ATP site I was caught by this big title and article on Taylor fritz
http://www.atpworldtour.com/en/video/atp-world-tour-uncovered-taylor-harry-fritz
The new American hope.
During the whole clip, there is hardly any showing of his tennis, only about how good looking he is, even showing a man hair spraying him.
Curious, I checked his age and ranking.....to find out he has achieved nothing and his ranked 680 in the world when Rub, exactly of the same age, is top 170.
A good looking player I am sure....but what a dope!
very poor article!

Meanwhile going under the radar, Chung is just 19 and a half and is now ranked 58. A year younger than Kyrgios....but just 17 spots behind.
Coric is 6 months younger than Chung and ranked higher.....but I fancy Chung to over take him soon. He has more weapons.

I saw the article/photo on ATP site yesterday; his name rang the bell as I remembered it from USO (qualifying?) draw;
but as soon as I read he was American, my curiosity ended so I didn't even click on the page.
Now that I read what you said, I'm even more glad I didn't.
They have a few new names : Tifoe, Fritz, Rubin and one more I can't remember, some of them from McEnroe's Academy.
They did well last year's Wimbledon juniors.
I hope Little Dragon can find his way through all that.
Agree on Chung, quite impressive for his age, nice FH. Ymer is not bad either.
We are having a decent wave of youngsters coming.

Re: Making of a champion!
Going back to Chung.....he went up the ranking by winning a challenger beating nobodies. But he seems head and shoulder above all 100+ players. It would be good to find out how he fares v top 100 players.

Re: Making of a champion!
I watched Chung against a top 20-30 player recently, he did well, may have even won that match.
Just can't remember who it was.
I liked his FH, it's not a booming weapon but he can do a lot with it. Good feel for the game and court.

Re: Making of a champion!
He took Stan to 3 very close sets at US open. Was ahead in 2 i think and should have won the third.
