Only tiny problem possible is that in India this is season of heavy rains and storms and even floods. So my internet service can get affected. But I'm being hopeful.

Yes, he was and it looked real. He arrived only minutes before the match and looked grave going into it. Might be gone by now, but could have missed on some training.

Kohl (33) - bad luck for Kohlschreiber here to draw top seed in the second tournament running, this is more of a hopeful pick
Gasparyan (33) - don't know who she is, but hope she wins.
Niemenen (33) - both will retire soon, but Nieminen has showed a little bit more so far this year

Dimi (11) - bad year for him, but surely he won't lose vs. Delbonis on grass, right?

I feel sorry for Kholi, he missed seeding by one place, and had Ferrer withdrawn before draw was announced, he would not have had to play Djokovic.

Very poor from Ferrer to wait for the draw first.

It still looks slow to me. Balls are too big. And with the hot heat wave coming, it's going to be slower than the FO in the second week.

It does, but not as bad as on TV.
Of all the players I saw live last week, only Verdasco and Rublev made the ball play fast.

They need to get rid of this bird, it's distracting players.

But it's how they can get to balls and the kind of shot they hit that give the clues.

I don't know how fit/healthy Kyrguos is, but he could do really well here.
It again boils down to hitting through the court like in RG, which is shocking.

Kohli is 5.10, if only he was 2 inches taller, he'd be more dangerous.
To me he is the finer, pocket version of Stan.

I suppose we now only have Thiem to carry SBH school of tennis among the young players.

Hi Rotla - No daily choice in the other game. Just pick who you think will get to the 4th round ....up to the final.

So one take for the whole tournament. Then we can work out who is in the lead day by day.

It's not.
I saw him in Boodles a few days ago.
He has very good length and his FH has quite low net clearance esp compared to Gasquet.
He can keep the ball in forever, though.

But he is beatable.
Fed and Murray could do it.

Or just someone very gutsy with a great day, like Kyrgios.

Of course he is beatable. But on grass he shoudl not be getting to half the balls he gets to. I don't mind him, I am annoyed to see that the conds are as slow as ever....and that's the first week.

Kholi couldn't last even three sets.

That makes Stan's win in Paris even more impressive.

Playing with a SBH is tougher than ever now. 3 sets probably equals to 5 compared to 10, maybe even 5 years ago.

The ball is struck very hard by DBH-ers these days.

Quite the sad beginning to the tournament on CC. The way it looks Djokovic is a safe bet to the QF.

It's a question of firepower v Djoko. Kholi is a nice player....just outdated a bit like Fed.

Yes, this is why it is sad - they are the kind of players I love to watch.
