Visually, tennis in RG looks like 5-6 years ago...slow-mo.

Kvitova 's shots were flying like bullets in Madrid and Rome, here - unrecognisable.

Same in Murray's match yesterday...I feel it was never this slow.

Yes, I am not sure what Babolat and teh TDs were on about here!

Maybe they want to create another "History" with Nadal's 10 slams....though had they wanted to, they coudl not have made it worse for his draw.

Babolat is just desperate to make their numbers....and the TD did not quite understand the effect of those balls.

When the FO asked Babolat to provide balls in 2011 they asked them to produce exactly the same characteristics as the Dunlops..which they did (weight and size) except for the rigidity of the rubber which made the balls fly even more than the Dunlop. Nadal hated them then and they learnt their lessons.

So now they have probably providing the same characteristics as Dunlops in terms of weight and size but with less pressure and softer rubber core. TDs would hardly notice, but Babolat certainly knows what they are doing!  

However I expect the TD to have a word with Babolat for next year....a bit late for this tournament, unfortunately.

He said 95% of balls he hit during the training were FHs, and that he had trouble with CC ones a lot more than DTL (obviously as there was no pressure).

When he wanted to chat with Sebastian (the dad) Nadal's PR guy (who used to PR Nole in the past as well) prevented it and told the journalist: Why don't you go and interview Srdjan (Nole's dad)...
And when he approached Nadal, BRbadilo stepped in again: "Why don't you interview Nole?"

So, Rafa camp are clearly super annoyed with the draw.

I reckon Nole will stop him in QF, balls, draw, crowd...the lot.

Nadal, unlike all other players looks the same as ever in terms of shot speed.

He looks very beatable, though!

He got the forst round opponent of his dreams but the nightmare ine is waiting for him in the QF

Nole looking very, very good.

Making the ball work for him by taking it early.
By far, the best I've seen him play in RG.

What's interesting is that having a DHBH makes Yarrko more dangerous than Federer on those slow courts!

Jarkko attacks a lot more. Movement doesn't really seem to be as important to him as shotmaking. He can't rely on it so he attacks!

I really don't see Jarrko as a shotmaker...he is e same as Ferrer, except that Ferrer is more consistent.
No hands at all. Just an average weaponless percentage baseliner.

You must have missed the second set, he was playing some insane tennis.

Nole played nice tennis in the first set, like he does when he is in the lead, then got carried away a bit and Nieminen took advantage, so Nole now back to his bulletproof trench mode.
