Should David Beckham have been knighted?

poor goldenballs snubbed once again... 
this email hacking scandal has certainly grow legs,i dont believe him when he says that he doesnt care about being knighted certainly when it comes to the talentless insect wife who would sell her soul to become a lady
i also dont believe that those emails were doctored ,i think thats exactly what he wrote 
what exactly has david beckham done that he deserves to be knighted?
mediocre footballer with mediocre results,i mean if he lead england to world cup victory then yes
anyone could have done the job he did for the 2012 olympics and anyone could do the charity work he does for unifec
so just because he is a high profile tabloid personality,he deserves to be knighted?

im now also starting to think that he really did have an affair with katherine jenkins cause he sounds rather bitter about her OBE,good on her for hitting back at him!!

why does beckham thinks he deserves to be knighted?
people who do things just to be knighted dont deserve to be knighted,it also means that his heart is never in the right place when doing al that charity work
