Amazing to see the order of play, isn't it?
I reckon not even Blueclay could have predicted that De Scheppers & Dodig would be there in week 2

Difficult to believe now that the top draw is actually the tougher.

Oh, I didn't realise we are back to prediction game (hope rotla's keeping his tab on our scores):
Djokovic, Youzhny, Del Potro Tomic, Ferrer, De Schepper (just for the fun of it, haven't seen him hit a ball, but he can't be as bad as Verdasco!), Janowicz

How did I miss Mannarino's match!
Court 14
11.30
Mannarino-Kubot
Mannarino probably playing the most beautiful tennis left in the draw, I'll try my very best to see him tomorrow, although it will be tough as it's such a small court.

I know but how unlikely!
Actually I heard some more terrible gossip from Tomic who apparently is another piece of nasty work according to people who know them (father and son).

Re: Wimbledon 2013: Day 7
Yes, Tomic is appearing to be quite thick on top of nasty:
"When I leave the grounds and go somewhere different, you don't see what I'm doing with my dad. I could be practicing, I could be working on stuff. You see the results, but you don't know exactly what's happening. When I leave the site, I'm with my dad. He's helping me at this tournament. We're doing the right things.
This is why the results are showing off now. I'm not doing it on my own. My dad is still involved. That's why I've gotten to where I am in this tournament and the results have shown.”
I liked him when he turned up on the scene, but now it's very hard to support him.

I never liked his game actually cause though he has easy power he doesn't use it much and prefers to retrieve.
There was something I don't physically with the guy. Not sure what it is...

I picked him to win as he has a lot more variety than Berd, but it will be interesting, it could go either way.
I haven't seen any of Berd's tennis last week, so no idea what form he's in, esp after being dumped out of RG in the first round.

Re: Wimbledon 2013: Day 7
But would absolutely love Mannarino to go through to the last eight, and then to keep him playing on court 14 as many matches as possible.
I can't believe Kubot beat Paire; I remember him as a total base-line 1D basher from the very first Serbian Open, where he lost to Nole in the SF.
If Mannerino goes through, which he should, then he plays the winner of JJ/Melzer.
Should've been Fed

Re: Wimbledon 2013: Day 7
Berd vs. Tomic, that should be the cracker tomorrow. Both look to be quite confident, both played in very good shape and are great fighters. I saw Tomic's match with Gasquet and was really surprised how he played with a cool head, with a great patience and tactically well.
That could be a five setter and great fight. Tomic plays with a lot of patience and the decisive factor will be whether Berd can hit through Tomic whole the match. That match can decide a couple serves in TBs, so nerves will surely play a key role.
Tbh both are not my favorite players, but the drama will be there. Berd feels his chance and should leave everything on the court. That match will also show who is better mover on the grass, who will react faster, how quick hands they have. So, who will be the winner, young Tomic or experienced Berd?

I thought he was quite well known for being one of the last s & v players left, more so on grass than anywhere else!

I don't know what he's known for, just what I saw with my own eyes in that match.

Re: Wimbledon 2013: Day 7
After reading this I can only conclude that Tomic really is a first class moron!
"But after beating Frenchman Richard Gasquet in four sets, Bernard Tomic suggested that his father may have gained entry anyway, perhaps using a disguise.
Asked if he would ask the All England Club to lift the ban if he reached the quarter-finals, Bernard Tomic merely grinned. Then he said enigmatically: ‘Yeah, well, maybe my dad is watching. Maybe you guys just can’t see him.’
Tomic was then asked an even more direct question — whether he thought John Tomic was somewhere on Centre Court for yesterday’s match.
Bernard grinned knowingly: ‘Well, you don’t know my dad. You just don’t know. He could be there.Tomic revealed that he had already spoken to his father by phone after the match, so he might well know his whereabouts. The All England Club intends to get to the bottom of the matter as soon as possible, preferably before Tomic’s fourth-round match, against Thomas Berdych of the Czech Republic."

Youzhny coudl win teh match but he doesn;t believe in it....shame cause he is simply better but Murray covers lots of ground to keep in rallies.
