This has been such a strange year for us tennis fans.

We have been through a lot!! 
Federer and Nadal virtually retiring, Nole winning RG then collapsing, Murray becoming number one!!!



So.....Santa Baby...pleeeease.....fill my stocking with :


 Federer playing in one more Wimbledon final
  Lucas Pouille winning AO
Rafa playing a full season
  Nole ditching that wannabe Father Christmas from his team
 Raonic permanently losing his toiletry bag
 Pair of Wimbledon tickets from my club draw
OTF having it's best year evaaa!

Tennis wise my wishes are a bit desperate. Besides Federer and a couple of young/ish players winning slams, nothing will get me too excited..besides the losses of the 3 RRs.

So my wishes are either hopeless or malevolent. not good!

2017 looks like being a fascinating year for tennis. I think Federer will be competitive but hard to see him winning a slam. I'm expecting Rafa to be competitive at the highest level and I can see the likes of Zverev and Kyrgios starting to be genuine threats. With questions over Novak as well, the Australian looks the most interesting slam in years.

I must say, this is the first time I have enjoyed the off-season, not missing watchng tennis at all.

AO had better be good!
