How lovely it would be to have Monf in the F, and actually I'd love him to take this USO and be remembered with one GS for all his athletic & funny moments he gave us, and sure a reminder of a wasted career that lacked discipline and the required dedication.

I really like he tunnel interviews with players.
So charged with tension and emotion.
Even the TV fuy had a lump in his throat.
Good luck to both players.

Wow, Monfils discovered he has a FH.
Great winner.
Only to miss the same shot in the next point.
Magic word: consistency.
Good tennis from the word go!

It's awful! Monfils is messing around. It's a disgrace. I know the tactic is to try to replicate Simon's game.....but he is way too casual in his soft shots. It almost worked though.

I hope Noah doesn't pick him for Davis Cup next weekend.
It's tragic he stopped Pouille.

I am surprised to see Momfils carry on like this.
He is 30, not a newcomer.
It's almost embarrassing to watch.

Djoko melting, he can't see Monfs shots, ballistic.
Keep it up, for next 5 min, then Monf folds completely.

This is an agony watch...both players in a strange mood.
Monfils super nervous, almost hysterical, Nole prickly and edgy.

I think the humidity is so high that players are not getting their dose of oxygen so all those red cells they have are useless.
They are in a way reduced to our level physically. They get tired so easiy under those conds.

Wilander is very harsh with Monfils and rightly so. "the best Junior by a mile yet he only has 2 semi finals....what an under achiever"!!!!

Djoko wins somehow, great third set by Monf.
Hope Stan can nail Djoko for good and save tennis for next generations.
Ninja would do good to let Stan win a quick 6:2 on all 3 sets and not tire Stan too much.

Sure I do, Ping-Pong, Tennis, Marbles, etc.
But stop pushing Djoko as some humble, respectful and oh so sweet guy, he is probably better than Nadal as a human, but by a tiny hair

Well if you play sport you know you can win injured.
Monfils choked so badly he probably didn't even know who he was playing...

I did not say you can't win injured, sure you can, but you stating Djoko did not mention it during interview, is not news as he won the match and also he is finally behaving like a No1 this year, less acting, dances and silly statements, guess someone told him don't talk too much.
So its a good thing, should not surprise you.

Re: US open prediction game - day 12
It was funny he completely ignored the question.
The question was stupid in the first place as only Nadal loves talking about injuries whether he has them or not.

Can't blame Nadal, if one grew up within same city wth uncle Tony, one would be mentally injured, let alone being with Toni every day of the year.

Every time I see Nishikori deep in tournaments his nerve and his serve are always his downfall. And you think he is going to be the next Djok, Tenez?

I am really not seeing where all your confidence on him is coming from. I think it's wishful thinking. A 31 year old Wawrinka is killing him - and as I said, he's had chances. He was 40-0 up on wawrinkas serve in set 2 and couldnt do it. Glad he isnt gonna be in final - he'd hand it to djok.
Wawrinka won't.
Stan isn't some nobody. He's killed Novak in a slam final - and he's won 2 slams. He isn't going to "get nervous". He's a proven winner.

I know Stan is a great player, but Nishi is better on this surface.
I only saw the first and a tiny bit in the 2nd, (kept dropping off), and although Nishi was not as aggressive as against Murray - he was winning with ease, having Stan on the back foot.
