Re: US open prediction game - day 4
I saw the last two games of Ferru-Fognini.
Such a shame Fognini lost, he played beautifully.
He strikes the ball nicer and flatter than Nishi, plus the creation behind it.
Real shame he lost.
I can't believe Ferrer is still able to outgrind in five sets adter midnight!!!
Also saw Tipsarevic robbed by the umpire. It was really bad. Never liked him much but felt so sorry for him.
Colonoel ayouzny still alive and kicking, hope to see him against Nole.
Did anyone see Dimi-Chardy, looks like it was a good match.

Re: US open prediction game - day 4
Fantastic result for Evans last night! Amazingly Britain has 3 men in the 3rd of a Slam for the first time in my lifetime! Massive achievement.
Sad to see Fognini go out. Would've loved to have seen Foggy/Delpo.
Surprising to see Simon bail out.
The draw has seriously opened up. Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Stan have a good route to the QF's where it will get serious after that. Djokovic has Tsonga/Cilic lurking. Nadal has Monfils lurking. Stan has Thiem and Murray has Nishikori.
Out of those top 4, I'd say Stan (given the random fluctuations in his form) is probably the most likely to slip up. Thiem/Del Potro/Kyrgios quite capable of taking him out if his form dips. Murray could well end up facing Dimitrov and he has shown good form in the last month, though goes walkabout too much. Nadal and Djokovic you feel that only red hot performances from a Monfils or Cilic would be the only chance of an upset in that section.
On paper it reads like a formality, however there could well be more twists in this tale for the US Open.

Evans is a decent player, though not a fan of him.
I heard he is a nasty piece and saw it in person in Roehampton last year.
I think Simon's been injured for some time.
For me, Cilic is the toughest opponent, so again, Nole's draw is the most difficult, although he is number one.

I'd say Verdasco is the nastiest piece of work on a tennis court. Sure if most of the tour were proficient in Spanish, he'd have a racquet round his head!
If Evans had an ounce of the application of Murray, would make himself a serious contender.
Come on Thiem!
