I have just got a call from a friend in the club who offered me a ticket for tomorrow's final.
I can't believe it either....

Anyway...carried away by this numb/shocked/cautiously happy mood, I thought I could do tomorrow's thread. Winking

I am here! Well i am in austria. I had planned to pull a 'behind the couch' and wanted to find out about the result in mondays morning newspapers but i discovered my holiday home contains a tv set with even dutch channels. So no quite sundayafternoon for me..

My view on it is simple: 2 weeks ago i thought Roger had 10% chance of winning. After the bits i saw of the semies i think it's 50/50.

This could be the sweetest win or the toughest loss. Good luck everyone!

Yes I agree with the 50/50...just that we know it is in Fed's racquet and it's all down to his form of the day.

Knowing it's in your racket brings extra pressure. He knows he has to play great to win. Djoko knows he can grind his way to victory, like Nadal always could. Mentally that's much easier.

It's very windy here and could rain any time. We know wind affects them both and both like to play indoors. However I think that indoors favours Fed a bit more usually.....except if indoors means slower conds.

However as it's quite windy, I think Federer will suffer more and am hoping for a bit of rain.

The crowd shoudl play a big part in this..especially if the roof is on!

Such a shame...Nole is imposing himself physically here.
Didn't give Fed a sniff on his serve at 5:7.
Hitting the ball, so hard in the corners.

Fed was almost shellshocked from it and as a result had a poor serving start.
Momentum shifted now...but it's 5 sets.

Fed needs to regroup, asap. Nole was not doing well with short chips fem Fed.

Thank God I don't have to put up with him today, I can just imagine...

Fed needs to something, not sure what, but the aggressive start really had Nole on the back foot all the time.

The flow is such a delicate thing.

Nole's totally dialled in fro, the baseline now.
Fed should've broken him, but Nole was hitting the FH very hard.

I doubt Federer is going to win the way he is playing
I agree with tenez,for some reason he just doesn't have as much time on the ball as he has had throughout these championships
