Honestlyyyyy... iPhone is leagues ahead.
All the apps, HD screen, login with your fingerprint; all BB has is the annoying keyboard.

Nishi wins! So it's Djoko, feds, Stan, Murray, Nishi, Cilic, Berd brain & Raonic.

Re: ATP MASTERS 1000: Paris Bercy
Rather disappointing day for me. I was thinking I would at least get to watch Fed over the weekend.
Race for #1 is now most likely lost and it is out of his hands.
Truffin, I am not sure why you are so hopeful that he might sneak a few weeks at #1 after YE. He might do it, but I was almost thinking this year was the easier path to get there - Fed is defending more points than Nole at the AO, so unless he outperforms him there, he will be falling further back.
I guess he will now have to win AO and get the #1 that way - I suppose that is the right way to get to #1 anyway, so that will be my plan.

I can't quite explain it, but suddenly, the WTF does not look that appealing.
Nole, Fed, Murray....and partly Nishi the only one worth watching there.
The rest are a bunch of opportunistic chokers more or less.

Tough one to call, but Nole should be able to put Nishi away.
Look forward to some first class baseline tennis.
Raobokop Serving Tree needs to be put in his place tomorrow by some proper talent

Nishi's back looks a bit stiff on the serve and Nole hasn't cottoned on yet.

I don't know what time Nishi finished his gruel last night, but it can't be easy for him to play now.
I hope whatever is bothering him now goes away before London.

Re: ATP MASTERS 1000: Paris Bercy
I have been impressed the most by Rao so far. He played his best match with Fed and his game showed another improvement and stronger mentality also in his today's match with Berd. He has become the player who can beat everybody on hc. He has improved his backhand to a very solid stroke and these shots against Fed were decisive in their match. He looks very strong mentally and his move also looks better than some months ago. He represents the biggest artillery in current tennis.
He doesn't panic on the court. He is going to become a nightmare for top players.
I am very curious whether The firing sleeve will keep his composure tomorrow and Nole will make him run and force to errors. I expect a very interesting match and very important for both.

Re: ATP MASTERS 1000: Paris Bercy
I refuse to jump on Raonic bandwagon just because he edged past very tired Federer yesterday and a player that moves slower than him today.
The guy is a 1d serving tree and a choker, with limited shot selection.
He cracks as soon as his serve gets broken as he has nothing to back it up with. No plan B.
His tennis is so dull and artificial, I'm really disappointed about him making it to final 8 in London.
There are going to be plenty of empty seats in his matches...

I don't usually root for Berd, but today I caught myself to wish he managed to turn the match around and get to the final. Rao looks more like a Halloween bogey than a tennis player. No way I jump on his bandwagon, he is a kind of player who is not that far from the worst clown ever re watchability.
I look at him as a kind of strangeness at tennis. There are a couple of things, which fascinates me. His composure and calm and sticking to the tactics and these all things combined with his continuing improvements makes me see him as a nightmare. Nevertheless his potential is not fully utilized yet.
He is the same height as Berd, but when he stretches at the net and when serving, he looks as if he had a couple of inches more than Berd, he looks quite strange on the court.

Re: ATP MASTERS 1000: Paris Bercy
I didn't watch the match today, but definitely wanted Berd to win.
Raonic, I just can't stand his on court presence, it's a complete turn off.
I can see why you view him as a nightmare as he does have that overbearing initial advantage; but his serve, however effective and fast - lacks something.
He makes good clean contact but like the rest of his game it's kind of learnt, not instinctive.
It's a weapon, but a fragile one.
Players with 100% natural serve are looser in their mind, Raonic is one big cramp.
Everything else about the limited repertoire of his shots is ok, an afterthought...and really that is not what tennis is about.
When you listen to him talk, it's the same as his game: a bold front full of theoretical cliches which is just very thin veneer.
It has all managed to somehow get him in top 8.
I hope Nole trounces him tomorrow.

I do find being neutral boring. For example, I quite like watching not only Fed's but also Rafa's matches - in Rafa's case I just always root against him.noleisthebest wrote:Don't you get bored of being neutral!!!!!!
But in this case I honestly do not know who I will end up rooting for - I will find out as we go along.

It's not, not even close, I don't think the place with this timezone even has any woods for people to have their neck in. What else but talent do you think is helping Nole return Raonic's serve with ease standing ON the baseline?
