Yes, definitely. And Fed is unable to avoid long rallies.

Also, Fed is not getting anywhere on Nole's serve.

There goes my straight sets to Fed prediction.

Nole looks more solid.  Fed will need to find a way to get into Nole's service games.  Maybe try to return a touch more aggressively.

I think Feds played better the last time they met at wimby under the roof, even with back pains.

He was two years younger then.

Djokovic did not volunteer the point this time around.

I hope this does not impact Roger; he sometimes gets disrupted by things like that.

Yes, he upped the aggression, I am glad he did.

Too bad about that call - it should have been 0-30 on Nole's serve. Roger does not get too many chances like that.

Finally getting some free points on his serve. He cannot spend half the day rallying with Nole just trying to hold.

Not good but it is pretty fair given their relative level of play.

It will be very very hard for Roger to come back now.  He is unable to make any real dent on Nole's serve.  Also, even if he were to win the fourth, once you go deep into the fifth, you would have to favor Nole on stamina.

Fed's FH is abysmal today.

For all complaints about Dimi's defensive play, he was able to make the match look less like an ordinary HC match than this one.  There are too many plain baseline rallies here today.

Why does he not play the whole match like that?

That last FH was what he should hit more of - he will miss some, but in the long run he will be better off than when he gets involved in attritional baseline battles.

That is one thing where Dimi was better - in the baseline rallies he was looking for a FH, and when he got it, he was trying to dictate.  Fed has been mostly happy sending neutral forehands back at Nole.

So typical, Fed finally breaks Nole's serve, plays some of his best shots of the match and yet loses his serve again.

Fed used to serve at 120mph+ in the first 2 sets ...now he cant push it further than 106mph

I cannot believe this is going to the fifth.

As I said before, I think fifth set may be too much for Roger, so I do favor Nole from here, but I do give Roger a better chance than when he was 3:5 down in the 4th

for federer to come back from 5-2 down to face 2 championship points and still win the set...wow!! just proves his greatness

This is one facet of Novak's behavior where his sportsmanship is questionable.
