Notice how the crowd and commentators are fixated by how well the opponent is playing?  It's because Nadal is as dull as dishwater.  He has no flair or real talent... it's all just running and pushing.

That was a super game from Kirgy! He hits the ball with such ease...nice package, excellent potential,  better than Dimi and Raonic, exciting to watch.
What I like beat about him, he looks and plays so naturally.

I'd do that as well.  Federer should have been taking 5-8 sec a serve as well.

I hope that netted volley miss into the open court is not going to cost Kirgy the set, it would be tragic!

Look at the little wimp trying to make a name for himself by doing the most out of control fist pump ever.  Doesn't deserve to win that set either.  Those fist pumps are all about trying to irrirtate the opponent and play to the camera.  he looks like a fucking IDIOT.

It's hard to fault this kid for the way he's playing, but just like Rosol who was right there for a 2 set lead--- why can't they get over that hump?!!  Nadal is there for the taking and does/doing nothing special in these matches...........but he always squeaks through.    Next set will test Kryk... he will either go away like so many before or take it to Nadal.  I just hope his legs hold.

The only benefit of this if Nadal loses, is the quick turn to a better rested Raonic who will be bombing serves as well.

as vulnerable and beatable as nadal has been throughout this tournament,i fear he will still beat federer if they meet in the semis

with federer it is all about matchup.  There is little you can do on a slow surface when your opponent reaches every ball and lobs it high to your backhand.  Raonic will be a bigger test, and he should knock that fist pumping idiot out,.

When I went there on Friday, he was the first player I saw, in practice court...there was this 65+ year old woman (I'll leave the rest to your imagination...) glued to the metal wiring fence and I asked her why she liked Nadal.
This is what she said: "Because he is cute!"
My face must have been a picture because she quickly continued..."and he is a great player!"

And then repeated once more:"But yes, he's cute!"

So that's who supports him...

I'm actually quite scared for Fed now that Nadal is out. Strange. It's as if my hopes for Nadal to be out has suddenly shifted to, 'I really want Fed to win'. No real tests thus far, but he hasn't even been broken yet, so he's looking good.

Djokovic has a chance to become No.1 now (if he wins).

So wonderful to see talent win- which is a rarity where Nadal is concerned.    

Federer has a long road....  no matter what the Nadal fans say about he being "given the title now" he has to beat the #3 player,  either top 10 monster server or the monster server who just took out Nadal, and the prob Djoko or Murray--- that's still a nightmare draw.

Mentally though- he has to feel freed up and it is on his racquet now.

I've seen Nadal fans complaining about tall players haha... Someone pointed out that NAdal hasn't faced one seed this year and had the easiest of draws.  He just came unstuck against someone who can punish 1 dimensional moonballing.
