Fed looking and playing like sedated but must be melting with fury inside.

Isn't ot just mind boggling. Every match betwee these two is the same. Different racquet, coach, talk and exact same patterns and shots still emerge.

I am not too bothered with this AO. Fed will shine in Wimbledon.

well yes, it's the power of Nadal's shots that make the damage.

No one cares nadal is cheating openly, no one cares about the gamesmanship, and Toni and nadal know it just adds to Feds pressure.

Having thought about it and not sure how Nole would handle with him in the final. Everything goes with Nadal well currently. The first slam of the season quite close, then twice won each GS, comfortable no. 1 at ranking within this year, clay season coming soon and Nole needs to find himself.

Nole would have beaten him again cause first nadal fears Djoko and secondly he would have tired him down...like he has done so many times!

Exactly, that is too sad for Fed.

Fed's match up is mighty tough for him. With a weaker single hand, the BH is easily exploited on the slow courts.

I expected fed to do better in that 3rd set...cause nadal has dropped a level....but fed drop two again!

Nole did it when hardly somebody expected it and played on adrenalin, that is what he owns. But when he is considered as a favorite, he just pushing himself into more attacking game, which everybody knows how it worked at US and with Stan recently. He just doesn't want to rally with Nadal anymore and everybody must undestand him why.
There is a credit for Nadal how he reacts, he looks as if he couldn't get out from defense, but his strong body can go from split very quickly and from both wings. Fed's net game suffers just due to that and Nole as well.

But tuned in the right time to see Fed break
Nadal's juice power relenting, Fed sees it and jumps on the service line before receiving serve to send the message he is still up for the fight.
Love the spirit!!!!!

Call me madly optimistic, but with a bit of patience and a smile or two from God, Fed could outlast Nadal here.

He'll probably admit it truffin1, but he won't actually believe it himself.
In the same way, he won't actually admit he believes his jinxing works, but he does actually believe it does.

The good news out of this tourney- is fed can still beat anyone not named nadal. Fed will have chances at more titles

. Sad Fed lost, but its already positives for Fed. I would have taken it if this was given to me at the start of the year.

I still feel this match was on Fed's racquet.
I admit this is only the third Fedal match I have seen so not sure how the pattern goes in terms of Fed, does he always lose sharpness and tactics in the same way or not.
Fed did not look his sharpest self from the start anyway, but at least didn't go down like cannon fodder he seemed to last time.

I am not too disappointed about the loss but extremely disappointed by the score which is a reflection on how poorly Fed played. Really bad form from Fed. Regardless of how hard was Nadal hitting the ball, Fed played actually much worse than in 2013 at times!

Well, his DTL shots were very rare, and I would've run around that BH a bit more often, but don't know how theoretical that is.

I actually think that Fed is sick of Nadal and his team, and that's for him not the right mindset to step on court.
Fed always has peaked against guys he likes. I know, it's a strange argument.

It certainly seemed to affect him. Hi exchange with the referee says it all. While on the hand Nadal must be so glad that his tricks work out so well v Federer!gallery play wrote:I actually think that Fed is sick of Nadal and his team, and that's for him not the right mindset to step on court.

yeah, unless he lost. Then he would be all for it. He an;t stick around forever, though. There will come a time when this disgusting little creature will be gone and his fans will be tearing their hair out as he is made to look stupid on court.
Stan may also beat him. Nadal fans think it's impossible but it isn't.

He will definitely give it a better go than Fed and that's encouraging. Believe me, Stan CAN do it.

I could live with all the blister and knee excuses under the sun if Stan wins.
You do know he never even won a set off Nadal and is a proven choker.
Did you see their WTF match in November?
He is simply too slow for Nadal.
I'll watch a masochistic first set at least....maybe the knees and the blister do come to really haunt Nadal in that match!

That was old Stan. Previous form means nothing when a player has just beaten the defending world champ and reached his first final. All bets are off.

Even worse for me - it starts at 3:30am here. On one hand it is a slam final, so I do not want to miss it if it can be helped but on the other hand it will not be happy viewing...noleisthebest wrote:I really don't want to watch the final.

Fed looked pretty disheartened from very early on last night. By around 3:3 in the first set you could see he did not believe it was going to work, and his face really showed it.

When Fed walked up to the entrance to the tunnel and asked the guy standing there "Is it windy tonight?" The peaked out and looked at the roof- I knew the mental demons were already there. I had hoped his new additions would have had a start over affect, but he was already rattled.
