Did you see this FH again coming back? It's ridiculous...not to have a winner out of such a good FH. It looks like Djoko's side is about the size of a ping pong table!

T, Fed's game is fallen apart, there's not much left of it. I'm 95% sure this is his last wtf appearance.

Oh I agree he is not playing as well as that 2011 semi but Djoko is also playing considerably better (and moving better than on that particular day).

Fed is still the strongest player mentallly. Keep on fighting like he does despite not having his best game and playing with such thin margins.

It would be great if he could finish top of that group. and then play a tired Djoko or Nadal in the final.

Just sat in front of a Swiss dad & son from Luzern (similar age as Fed's dad) had a chat in Swiss German, they look hopeful after his Basel appearance.

Djoko wa tired at trhe end oif his service game. Unlucky there from fed...he had a chance to cme back...but I agree I donlt think Fed will win that match.

Novak still looks breathless.

But still Djoko is the one doing the running and though he looks breathless he still engages in those long rallies.

Unfortunately, the court in O2 is too slow for Fed. Such a shame. He can win a match here but only in two sets against Nole.
Mind you, I still think he looks sluggish, looking good atm, though.

When will they decide to make the ball faster? It's ridiculous to have another match decided on lungs and legs. What's the point of having good shots?

And winning those long rallies despite Fed's flat hitting, not very good.
Nole's expandong more energy in those rallies, though.

Yes not worth it. It was actually a frustrating match to watch. Fed played average, Djoko solid but having 20+ and even 30 shot rallies is simply ridiculous.

I had hope they had sped up courts this year but it is the same moonballing tennis we have been having for the last 7 or 8 years .

Yes, very disappointing, they really need to do something about the slowness of the court here, this is far from " fair to all players".

Hopefully, thete will be some better matches tomorrow.
Ferrer Nadal was awful, Fed Nole not as good as it could have been, there were at least some great shots and points...
It's all looking pretty fake and artificial in O2,they are really overhyping it, but have stuffed it big time with the draw.

Yes... though I want Federer to lose v Delpo too now (I think he might win if he has a day rest). Having seen Fed play pretty average yesterday I am more interested in Nadal's loss than Federer win tbh...

Ideally I want Djoko finishing second and play Nadal in semi.

Yes, Fed was average compared to Bercy, I was surprised with how much time he spent on the base-line, but the court did not help. A very disappointing match.

A Nadal demolition would help ease the pain. A little.

I didn't see Stan's match against Berd, but am impressed with his win, as Berd traditionally plays very well in O2.
That, and only that gives me a tiny hope that Stan can finally turn tables against Nadal today.
Apparently he has never won even a set against him...

I don't watch Nadal's matches, because they are absolutely disgusting. His court antics and game is nothing for me.
 
Exceptions are just Nole plus a couple of others when having a fair chance against him.
Unfortunately I can't watch Stan's match today, but I will definitely check the score.
If Stan serves well and his legs are ok, and he can hold his nerves under pressure , I believe in him. I know too many ifs, but I see his chance quite fair.

One can see watching Stan how much power he has with that racquet...from both sides.

Yes, Stan does not have the variety on it, but plenty of power, even in this sandpit....he needs to steady his serve asap or else the match will run away from him, just like it has every time they played...without Nadal doing particularly much!

Yes Federer with this power would be already a break up. Fed relies on better improvisation and nerves to keep in touch and has a better FH.

It's amazing despite the largest margins from Nadal, Stan's BH is actually a better shot than Nadal's FH!!.

But atm wawrinka has more confidence in himself atm I think, a better, more reliable bh and a more destructive serve.

The difference in talent is huge...thouhg I agree I am a boit unfair as Nadal doesn;t play with his RH. But it just shows that when it comes to Nadal talent is nearly irrelevant....it;s all about injecting enough power to draw those UEs thanks to a great coverage of teh court too of course.

...and footwork, timing, yes would be good if he could try and switch racquets in the off-season now that his back seems to be better.

Nadal's FH is hugely overhyped. It's not about confidence...cause with such large margins the confidence should be no issue. It;s not like he aims for the line does he?

i am comparing stan with feds.

If Stan was a step quicker he would not be missing these "easy" base-line FHs, he is not that good on the run.

I think the only thing Stan has over Fed is the size of his racquet. All his perceived confidence gets choked away when it really matters unfortunately.

I think you guys are harsh on stan. 
He has hit two brilliant running fh's this match, has reached a career high this year, tested djoko to the limit and battered murray at the US. 
He's giving it a good go vs rafa, only his 5th tiebreak he's reached in 12 encounters.

That fh must have been 5m+ over the net from Nadal. AMazing how stan got it backs so well, then misses the least spinny 5th fh.

Look how far Nadal's pushed Stan behind the base-line.
He's bound to miss from there when on the run!
