Davydenko knocked Bogomolov out pretty quickly!
Raonic a set up, too, Nishikori Gasquet starting....
I bet Delpo is goin to wake up now and the match will last another 2 hours....which means Nole will start, ouch! soooo late Wah

Nole playing quite aggressively, esp on the forehand, very nice to see, lovely timing and placement.
First serve stopped though and Istomin breaks ( or rather, Novak gives it to him on a plate).

Istomin going for shots down the line, but it can't last for much longer, he is really trying to paint not just the lines, but corners as well!

I am expecting Nole to wake up and get his hands dirty now.

COME ON NOLEEEEE. racket1

Nole breaks at the start of the 3rd set. That should be enough.

Istomin was in the zone for large chunks of the match, and sitll htting the ball like crazy.
Novak having to work hard and go for the lines himself in order to win points.

Some good tennis when inside the court from both. I have become numb from the base-line wizzadry.

that's it from me.

Raonic in his interview now admits he cheated, because 'it was a big point.' Del Potro was absolutely fuming in his post-match interview- he said he was very bitter, and disappointed in Raonic.

This is the incident:

Yes that was very poor umpiring from Llayani who caved in to the local crowd.

Raonic also was pathetic with knowing he touched the net and not doing the honourable thing.

Ultimately, it was LLayani's fault, but the stigma will remain on Milos for the rest of his career.

I really don't see why people go on about how talented Gasquet is.

He's pretty terrible, and not even nearly in the same league as Djokovic.

Gasquet is capable of playing great tennis, he just lacks guts and spirit to drive him.

Paire is the opposite.

Having said that, Gasquet's terrible serving suggests he may have some physical problem, looks completely subdued and with zero confidence.

No I think his serving is fine, a bigger problem is that Djokovic is playing on another level, and Gasquet simply isn't actually that good.
A pretty negative player who fluffs it up when it matters.

I still like him, he is quite unique, and strikes the ball wonderfully, shame his spirit lets him down.
Nole always plays great once he's got the opponent like Gasquet worked out and under control.
I want to see him play like that against Nadal tomorrow.

Sky Sports analysis absolutely spot on, showing Gasquet hitting a first serve and the retreating 3 metres behind the baseline before Djokovic has even got a touch... humiliating tactics.

Unfortunately the only player who plays even further behind the baseline than Gasquet is the one I support, and he's going to be on the receiving end of a demolition (if he beats the 3rd grade Aussie pusher today that is).

To wet our appetite up for this encounter...

I would like to announce that this 3rd grade pusher Marinko Matosevic is basically the dumbed down version of Giles Simon.

And given Giles Simon is officially the human personification of mediocrity...
