Re: Dubai, Acapulco, Delray.....
after frenchy throws away his chance to serve for the first set, gulbis takes the tiebreak. Currently on serve at 3-3 2nd set

Re: Dubai, Acapulco, Delray.....
First time I saw him properly was at queens last year when he outclassed roddick, was nice to see. He has a very pleasant style of play, good to watch.
Great win for gulbis! Hopefully he's back up near the top pronto!

Nice, relaxed presentation, good to see a happy Gulbis cracking jokes

The Morybundus comeback shows that his supermoonballing game is so simple game, that he does not miss any match experience and is able within a couple of weeks beat top 10 players. Every other player would struggle with timing and net game, but Morybundus just does not need it.
BC, you are right. It is really sad truth, that Nadal's game is such a physical crap, that except Nole nobody can compete with him on the dirt surface.
I agree also with Ten, that Ferru is not such an Energizer as before, but a worse thing is that he got a Morybundus complex in his head. In addition to this Ferru is too short to handle with high supermoonballed balls. I would not bet a penny on Feru with Morybundus.
Ferrer is useless against the top four players (I know Nadal is ranked number five now but when I say top four I am including Nadal as he is sure to be back at number four soon enough) so we really can't tell much about how Nadal will do against the other top players especially off clay. I have a feeling in my gut that Nadal is going to make a miraculous comeback and be tough for the top four even off clay. We shall see. He sure does not look unjured to me!

Re: Dubai, Acapulco, Delray.....
I saw some shorts last night of the Almagro/Nadal and Ferrer/Nadal. Nadal was indeed playing much better than in his 2 previous turnaments. However, Ferrer played terribly and very exhausted. The score is typical of a player who knows he is not fit enough to play Nadal. Very much like Federer v Nadal at FO08. Entering the court v Nadal tired is simply the worse thing for the moral and kills hope of achieving anything against someone you know will make you run a lot more if your shots don't make him run.
So though I agree Nadal plays much better...it was just a shadow of Ferrer.

Gulbis jumping 42 ranking places thanls to his last week win. Now at 67.....probably no need to qualify anymore. Good on him.

I had a look at the top 100 last night and there really are some odd names there, not to mention the rankings. Some really great players struggling.

Yes....a few trying to come back like Blake and Nalbandian. It's tough out there. ......I keep saying I know.
