What a set from Fed...he is having to play genious shots after genious shots and does just that.
Again Murray's FH falling apart under pressure. 4 FH UEs in that TB!!!!!!

Oh la la la, still too hot Murray´s head, not great volleyer. Fed plays at 80% and still enough

But also many second serves, but frankly Fed is not doing enough with Murrays second serve.

Federers 1-2 combination when he serves from deuce court is quite effective, as Murrays' FH on the run isn't his best shot. Fed doesn't have that advantage against Djoko.

I agree about Federer not doing enough on Andy's 2nd serve. He tried right at the beginning of the 3rd but missed by very little.

Murray was stiffened, I think that should have been played as a winner.
I am not sure if Fed plays so passive only due to his back´s problem or if he intentionally lets Murray to play, who often struggles to play winners (include his first wide serve). Is it only due to saving his back or to disrupt Murray? I think a bit of both will be truth.

Fed beating Murray at his own game now, call it the strangling phase of the match, Murray's legs showing sings of tiring.

Federer breaking down Murray's FH....and tiring him down.
And Murray showing signs of back problems.

Terrible and sloppy game from Federer, hope it doesn't cost him. Should've challanged that serve, not got all wound up because of Mollina.

this is where you grab the match by the scruff of its neck an take it home furiously!
You can't let him off the hook now, Fed, you had him on the ropes
Nole would 've made mince of Murray in this match, he powders him into dust mentally!

I have to say after the TB I was flat, twitchy and miserable.
Even with Murray taking the 3rd set I have no idea where that came from. Live feeds and comments alike here and elsewhere clearly indicated the momentum was with Feds and Murray was faltering.
Bizarre. I have expected Feds to march on from there.

The way he lost this set is very dissapointing: Murray didn't have to much for it. The level of this match has dropped significantly the last 15 minutes.

I really think that Murray is a tougher opponent than Djoko for Federer...at the begenning but then Murray's level and fitness so essential to his game drops and his mind goes with it (A link posters do not want to see usually) but as the match goes on Djoko stays the same, he plays teh 5th like the first and that puts huge pressure on all his opponents.

....and that's because he is not as physical as Murray, his legs carry a lot less weight, he doesn't bludgeon the ball as hard as Murray.Tenez wrote:gallery play wrote:The way he lost this set is very dissapointing: Murray didn't have to much for it. Yes Djoko is better built for the long distance...but not as good on faster surfaces with shorter rallies.

Nole is even getting better in the toughest matches close to the match end. He enjoys when he can fight against the best and enjoys a thrill. In this respect he is exceptional.

Not quite like that. It's like a 400 sprint, it seems like the one who wins is accelerating the last 50 meters, but he's not: the other are slowing down more. Nole knows that, which is why he likes to be in that position

Just going by the length of the match, just illustrates how Murray sucks the tempo out of the match. Just looking at the Tsonga/Federer match proves who the riskier players are.
