Would love to see Stan, Gasquet and Fed all making QF. Is it too much to ask for? Maybe throw in Almagro for good measure too.

Just checked and it has been over six years since Stan last beat Novak. That does not look promising.

And even the 2nd set. He called the trainer, perhaps he is injured. I remember he was even injured on one of the build-ups to AO tournaments this year.

All nice to flex your guns when winning, but not so good at taking a defeat on the chin.

Can anybody here again that the more talented player is not the one with the better ranking? Djoko is fitter, stronger and moving faster than Stan...yet he is 1/4 down.
However see Djoko throwing more and more longer rallies to blunt that beautiful edge.

I don't think he'll blunt Stan, he's attacking atm.

NO he is not. More top spin, longer rallies and Stan's edge will go off soon.

If Stan continues like in the 1st set, blutning won't work, so attacking it will be

If Djoko had not that speed and stamina it would be a 61 61 61 for Stan.
