Federer looking extremely hungry against Stan.
I really want to see him play Murray on Saturday and Nole on Sunday.

Great fight from Stan to break Fed.
Not flinching in that base-line forehand exchange, very good!

Fed may be hungry but he is not moving really well. His first serve is so far off target at times...it's weird.

Is Wawrinka doping, he is certainly serving and hitting very hard, isn't he? He is also up a set.
Come on Stan you can do it.
PS: Yes, good break back.

Everyone is doping!!
It was a fair discussion I think which was on another thread which opened up to the possibility of doping in tennis in light of the LA report. Maybe not on the grand scale of program LA found himself running, but the tactics he used to remain un-detected could be used in other sports including tennis.
I like to think tennis is clean, but I would suspect if there was purpose and signs players were

I have rarely seen the game played at such a pace. It reminds me the 2007 matches between Blake and Federer at the USO.

You are not interested in tennis, just Nadal worship. Otherwise, you'd be watching this fantastic match now and commenting on it not eating sour grapes and going on and on about the same thing (on the wrong thread)

Bhs are hit harder than other players FHs. A very good match played at a very fast pace.

Federer will win this match, bet on it.
They're entertaining the crowd for now, but soon Roger will stamp his authority on this.

For having played with Wilson and now with Yonex I can certify that SHBH are considerably easier with Yonex.
Fed should make the change!

Changing racket at this stage of his career would be a gutsy move.
I would just stick with that he has.

I agree, he's looking light-weight at the moment. Slower courts are taking away almost any advantage he is able to create with his usual fast pace.

Can anyone think of a match played at a faster pace?
I will check on youtube when it's out, how many seconds per rally on average. I think it beats anything I have recorded before.

There is so little difference between Stan and Fed. Yet one has 16 slams, the other has yet to reach the final of one.
Is Stan playing better v Fed than against anybody else? It looks like so. You see him lose to much lesser players regularly but against Fed he is often giving him a hard time.

This is the best I've seen Stan play. I don't think he'd lose to lesser players if he played like now. There is a clear difference in tonight's match, I am impressed he's going for it despite the 13 losses he's racked up against Fed.

Because you are capable of controlling yourself. A lot of times.
Can't you just be happy that this forum is taking its baby steps after the forum you are a moderator in kicked us out?
BTW, I don't have banning powers, but I wouldn't ban you even if I did.

Ah.. I have been missing not only watching Shangahi, but also OTF. Too much work load, and I couldn't carry on the MOTD or the prediction game.
