What the hell is wrong with those stupid spectators on court 1? They  don't have the curtousy to applaud majestic volleys by Giles.

Why don't players just do an underhand or short serve against Nadal?  He's as far back as he can be - he'd never reach it on grass.  Why don't they do it?  There is no rule against it - it's legitimate!

I don't give a shit. It's a perfectly lawful shot - and that's a price you pay for standing that far back. The crowd dont want him to win anyway.

Sadly, as I found out with John Higgins in snooker, no matter what he does he will have a huge fanbase.

Federer breaks; that should be the second set.

Pretty low standard so far. Dimitrov has been awful. Federer barely in 2nd gear.

The real test for Fed is next if he makes it....  I hope it's zverev based on the match up of the other day.  But it will be tough.

He should be alright against Zverev. Just keep the ball low.

Meanwhile, Dimi in selfdestruct mode

He's just not been at the races today. Missing routine rallying balls too.

Fed's so quick on serve
I've seen Federer averaging 13 secs between the points last week...

Who says we need to change the rules to speed up the game?

Fed takes second set 6-2. Routine stuff. Still not timing the ball that well from what I've seen. Maybe it's the court.

They do like to keep saying Nadal is one of the best volleyers in the world... even when all the evidence including this match proves he isn't.

What's a useless shot against Fed? Hitting as hard as you can right at him while he's at the net.
It was his effortlessly handling of balls like these what convinced me 17 years ago the guy's special.

I get that a lot in doubles matches.  One twat aimed at my head and he really powered it.  He lost the point and he wasn't happy lol.  As if that's a good tactic.

I have been on C1 and CC when Nadal was playing 100% or so of the women are behind him. The opponent usually shares about 50% of the mens crowd.
